Hey TL,
As you all know by now, the NBA Playoffs have advanced to the Conference Semi's yesterday with the Grizzlies win over the Spurs to cap off the series 4-2. In case some of you missed out on the results of each series, they will be below in the spoilers.
+ Show Spoiler +East: Bulls 4-1 Pacers Hawks 4-2 Magic Celtics 4-0 Knicks Heat 4-1 76ers West: Grizzlies 4-2 Spurs Thunder 4-1 Nuggets Mavs 4-2 Blazers Lakers 4-2 Hornets
I will be making my predictions based off of seasonal series, momentum, and big player matchups. I will attempt to put my huge fanboyism to the Lakers aside (any rivalries with teams or favoritism) First, the East:
(1) Bulls vs (5) Hawks Let's face it, the Bulls are on a role and are going to keep going. If all goes well and Rose doesn't get injured, Bulls will have a great series with the Hawks. In my opinion, the Hawks are a great team, they just can't win a BoX series with the Bulls. They might come close, but won't get over the hump to beat the Bulls.
Bulls in 6
(2) Heat vs (3) Celtics The matchup everyone loves is back! The two powerhouses clash again. Jaedong vs FlaSh!!! Anyways, let's get on with the prediction. The Celtics swept a less than healthy Knicks team (Billups out and Amare injured) while the Heat blew by the 76ers 4-1. Over the season, the Celtics rocked the Heat, 3-1. However, the Heat were able to pick up veteran guard, Mike Bibby, and with the lack of a big Perkins inside (traded for Nenad Kristic), the Celtics aren't looking at the big holes in the Heat lineup anymore. This will be a great series and I really don't care about the winner. I just want to see this get down to a Game 7, Ace Match, Set 5, Base Race to the every end. But if I HAD to pick a winner...
Celtics in 7
Now for the West: (8) Grizzlies vs (4) Thunder The Thunder are playing so well, I'm going to have to call them the best team in the West right now (yes over the Lakers). But the Grizzlies were able to knock off the #1 seed Spurs to get them into their first ever Conference Semifinals (First ever right?) But the Thunder will be too good for the Grizzlies to handle, as they aren't playing against an old team with their wheel falling off, they are playing a team that have their brand new Michelin tires fully pumped and ready to roll.
Thunder in 5 or 6 (more to the 5 side)
(2) Lakers vs (3) Mavericks After stunning a lot of people and not choking in the first round, the Mavericks face a menacing Laker team, who surprised everyone by losing Game 1 in their series with the Hornets. But let's face it, the Lakers are back again after showing everyone they can still own by winning Games 5 and 6 both by double-digits. But look out for Nowitzki to pull on of the 3 big men (Odom, Gasol, Bynum) out to the perimeter and open up looks for Chandler or Haywood in the paint. But I still think the Lakers will be able to crash the boards offensively and defensively, and have Kobe Bryant school everyone.
Lakers in 6
I hope you guys enjoyed this and put down your feedback and predictions.
Also, I put up a blog over night, but didn't get a whole lot of views, so I'll just put it on here for the people to look at. It's about my Youtubing channel and I want feedback for how to get better with my commentating. Subscribing would be nice too xD
+ Show Spoiler +Hey TL,
I'm KTFlaSh96 on Youtube and I've already attempted to put up a blog about me doing SC:BW commentaries like months ago, however that was when I had absolutely no commentaries... so it was closed. (go figure)
Now I actually have a decent selection of videos to pull from, and I'd like to get some feedback from the TL Community. Some things to note:
1. I am 14 years old. That's right, FOURTEEN. Please understand that my voice may not sound the greatest, so please don't judge as harshly on that.
2. Video's may be laggy. Again, make sure this does not take away from the commentary itself. I only want feedback on the actual commentary not junk like "OH STREAM LAGGY YOU SUCK"
I really hope some people watch them, and tell me how I did because I'd really be extremely helpful. Also, if you enjoy my videos, it would be a great help if you subscribed.
Thanks for reading, KTFlaSh96
P.S. Only watch the actual games (and besides the jju 4 pool video...) not any of my stupid prediction videos (though one did get 1k views...)

Heat will win 4-0. Simple as that. I'm sure the Heat already know why they lost and now they will pick it up.

Bulls vs Hawks: I disagree with your assessment. I just haven't really been impressed by the Bulls. Indiana had a great chance to win at least 3 games but blew it at the end/Rose bailed the Bulls out with amazing plays. Against much better competition the rest of the team is going to have to step up. Boozer has been pretty awful in the playoffs so far. I'll go out on a limb and say Hawks in 7.
Heat vs Celtics: Garnett will eat Bosh alive. Gl Hf. I see the Celtics big 4 playing much more cohesively than the Heat when it counts the most, Wade and Lebron will go off to win a couple. Celtics in 6. On a side-note, I'd like to take the opportunity to say that getting rid of Perkins was a HUGE mistake.
Lakers vs Mavericks: Mostly with you on this one. Dallas should give a decent showing but Lakers are too tall, too athletic, too deep, and they have Kobe. Lakers in 6.
Thunder vs Grizzlies: Memphis is kind've a wild card too me. They don't appear to be an amazing team but they pretty much dominated Spurs (albeit a mostly Ginobi-less Spurs). The Perkins pick up was great for the Thunder. The Spurs didn't have anyone who could guard Gasol and Randolph, the Thunder do. Also they have Durantula. Thunder in 5.

yeah i guess you are right with the bulls hawks one. i still think that bulls will win.
yeah, celtics have been together for quite some time now. i really wont be surprised if it gets one sided though

I agree with all your assessments (especially heat vs celtics, should be a good series but the Celts will take it) except for Thunder vs Grizzlies. I think think Thunder will still win it, but Grizzlies will put up a hell of a fight (first time advancing to 2nd round ever...p sure they not gonna just bend over)

ugh can't believe atlanta took out dwight howard orlando... and those spurs -_-
I'd say Bulls in 6 (providing some players other than Derrick Rose actually do something ;P), Celtics in 7 (Rajon Rondo ftw), Lakers in 6, Thunder in 6.

you're seriously surprised orlando lost?

Bulls 4-2 over Atlanta Celtics 4-2 over Miami Lakers 4-2 over Dallas Thunder 4-1 over Memphis

Boston will win simply because Miami has nothing on Rondo. He will run wild for however many games it takes and I would bet money he averages a triple double for the series, or at least 12 assists.

The Heat simply doesn't have an answer for Rondo, and as long as he plays up to his par the Celtics will not get swept. This is a close series, but I will go with the Celtics in 7.
EDIT: Thanks Dexington for pointing that out. I hadn't read your post before writing mine.
Bulls > Hawks in 6 (This will be closer series than people expect. Boozer hasn't been playing well, and the Bulls were unimpressive against the lowly Pacers. However, I do believe that they have enough to get past the Hawks. Rose will keep doing his thing.)
Lakers > Mavs in 5 (I don't see a single advantage that the Mavs have, maybe a very slight one at the point guard position. Throw Ron Artest and Lamar Odom at Dirk. Kobe will do his thing. Pau and Bynum are too skilled. The Lakers have a solid bench.)
Thunder > Memphis in 6

not really, Bibby is washed up.

As a HUGE LA Lakers fan I'm so happy to hear that Lakers will most likely win vs dallas. I been hearing Kobe isn't healthy or got injured or soemthing like that which I hope isn't true. I really wanna see Kobe get six rings like Michael Jorrdan =)
|
Man the Pacers are a very scrappy and physical team. Before the series even started I knew the Bulls would have a little trouble, and frankly I think most teams would have had similar trouble. It by no means indicates the Bulls will have a harder time against the Hawks. The Pacers have a team that exploits Boozer's weaknesses, he isn't as bad as he looked in that series. Expect the Bulls to tear the Hawks apart, especially with Heinrich being injured because he's the only chance they had at slowing Rose down.

Kobe's like 90% in the ankle. i mean did you see his 2 monster dunks in game 5? if you didn't go check them out NOW.

Something tells me that this series between the Heat and Celtics will be the one Lebron wakes up and becomes a complete monster. I don't think the Heat or Celtics will sweep that's just silly, the games will be close and will be decided in the final 2-3 minutes. Heat will finally get over their 1-19 in the final 10 seconds or w/e it is and score some monster shots. Either way it'll be a great series, 4-2 Heat.
Goooo HEAT!

LeBron has always been a monster though
