as I'm coming closer to the end of my first year here at TL(about 2 weeks left) I cannot help but recall my days as a budding new SCV in the sea of noobs that came to TL as the SC2 beta started.Back when nothing could stop Flash from taking his next OSL(KA OSL S1,sadly we all know how that ended),before the chaos between Blizzard and KeSPA,or how I would like to call it KeSPA being the evil gods of starcraft.
Back when KeSPA were hated by one and all for being rotten people who took part in child labor and other stuff and Bisu was slumping.
Back when people said "don't worry its still beta".
Back when I was still playing BW regularly and Flash was not Bonjwa yet.
Back whenposting stuff like my last blog would get me perm'd.
I cannot help but think of all the interesting forum netizens I came across,on both the SC2 side and the BW side,but mostly the BW side.people like

My first year is almost up, too. 1 week to be exact. To think, before TL I used to be a regular on the bnet forums. And despite how people say that TL is so strict, I had more trouble with the bnet admins than here. They always had such a closed door policy on any forum moderation, and they closed threads I really enjoyed for dumb reasons. Since I came to TL, I haven't been back to bnet.
"Don't worry it's beta." Hehe. We hear it every beta... then the game comes out and very little has changed. Can't wait for Diablo 3.

I hope that means a lot to you Even if it is founded on notoriety, such accomplishment is hard to come by without some hard commitment. ... But it requires the time commitment. Because I am university student the time I can stay up overnight is extremely constrained fml.
I made my first account here like long time ago, then went afk like one to two years before realizing the true awesomeness of being involved in TL community. Thus, I never managed to discover the joy of celebrating 'TL one year anniversary'... I mean, it makes sense right? People being here for a year mean nothing if you have like two posts. I probably won't be celebrating when this account ages to one again, since what is truly important is your wealth of knowledge/emotional investment into the community...

Thanks for the shoutout. I have a similar situation to you, and I really have difficulty explaining to others why all these people I'll probably never meet are worth the time I put into TeamLiquid, but posts like these make it evident how great the community is. Here's to another glorious year!
