If anyone has a good idea how I can creatively make money please let me know. It's okay if you don't want to read anything that is not in bold and just throw decent ideas at me.
Recently it has become apparent that I need to make some money. I am a part time grad student who commutes one or two days a week spending around three hours a week just getting to and from school. I have loans to take care of my school costs, but I seem to be spending so much money that I won't be able to afford soon on my car. Car insurance and gas consumes roughly 85% of my total spending money.
It's tough for me to follow routines and schedules and prefer to work on my own time. I do all of my school work in short increments because it's difficult for me to focus for too long on one task. This is troublesome because if I got some sort of regular job they would need to know when I was available and probably try to give me regular hours. Not only do I dislike jobs like this but it would force me to get my school work done in a lot less time. If I have to I will absolutely suck it up and do what I can to get paid, but I would prefer to try a more creative way to make some money.
I have thought about writing articles for websites but I don't have much writing experience or really know what people want to read about. ehow.com is an option for writing how to articles. There are also some websites that pay to write music and movie reviews. I might check that out.
I have also thought about trying to get a popular stream going. I think if you can get a lot of viewers and play advertisements, places like justin tv pay you. It's a long shot because I don't think I'm good enough for people to actually want to watch me play so I would have to do something that people like to see.
I do give Starcraft 2 lessons but I will never charge for them. If you want some PvX lessons just PM me. I do them Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00pm EST.
Somehow selling pictures is another idea. Stock photography websites pay a little bit every time someone downloads a picture you posted. The key to this is taking pictures that will pop up under popular keywords. I'm not a great photographer, but I have a decent camera that could get the job done if need be.
I'm also considering getting my digital piano, cello, and guitar to provide some entertainment at busy places and have a donations hat. I could bring some buddies in on this because I can only play one of these instruments in a mediocre manner at a time. But brining buddies means any profit must be split. Also I believe this is illegal without a permit so that might be a little risky.
Along the musical lines, giving low-level cello lessons was another idea I had. I have a place outside of my home that could be used free of charge as long as I worked around their schedule. The biggest issue here I believe is advertising. If I were to give children lessons, I need to infiltrate the schools to advertise. If it were adults, they would need to spend a good amount of money just renting or buying an instrument. I would prefer to teach adults because they are more likely to actually want to be there to learn but it would be tough to convince them to spend the money renting or buying a cello. It would also just be tough to get the word out to those who might be interested.
I know a shitload about distance running. I'm not exactly sure how I could turn that skill into cash, but it would be awesome if it could work. I can't coach kids through schools because my classes are in the evening and that would interfere time wise. I could try getting a local gym to start a running program that I could head up once the weather here in NY breaks.
Things I will not do are are gambling (poker and the stock market or related investments count) or stealing. Anything else I might consider. If anyone has any constructive ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance if you suggest anything.

If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. Get a job, whether it be a real job or something like mowing neighbor's lawns/shoveling snow in winter.

Any chance of tutoring college or highschool kids in whatever you're in gradschool for? That is what pretty much all the grad students I knew did that didn't have research jobs or teaching assistant positions.

get into porn maybe. depends on how big you are i guess. write for some local newspaper.
write some songs on youtube, become a big hit, get a partnership or w/e it is.
reading the post, you seem to have a lot of ideas. just go with something! don't let time go to waste!

You could sell your instruments? lol I'm not sure you have a whole lot of options. I would probably just get a job waiting tables during the nights you aren't going to grad school. Tips = gas money and the regular salary can probably cover at least most of your car insurance. Besides that the scheduling should give you a lot of flexibility in regards to hours. It sounds like you have a TON of downtime, depending on what you're going to graduate school for.

This is slightly illegal, and you might get in a lot of trouble if you're caught. But if you partake in these precautions you might be a-ok.
Things you will need: 1 friend who is willing to wait by his phone for a day. A pair of handcuffs, a few dollars, a briefcase, and a security guard uniform, and a printer, an ability to think on your feet, a clipboard, and carbon paper.
On any given Friday or Saturday go to Kinkos or your favorite printing store, and print out a bunch of business cards with a fake name, a fake security company's name, your friend's phone number, and a nice little slogan just for the hell of it.
Then put on your security guard uniform, and handcuff your left arm to your briefcase. Then go to your local bank around 1 - 4 am, and put a sign on the "Late Night Deposit Box" saying "Sorry for the inconvenience, but due to remodeling to insure you have the best banking experience, we will be out of service for the night."
Then stand near the late night security deposit box and wait for the scrawny man with body guards from the local night clubs/strip joints to come make their weeknight deposits. Be sure to sound annoyed as you can't believe you're working this late etc... and tell them you're there to take deposits for the night. When they give you their money, put it in the handcuffed briefcase, write them out a receipt and sign it with your fake name on your business card.
When the cops come around, talk naturally. Don't be scared or annoyed, be friendly and annoyed. Give them your card (this is where your friend comes in) to call headquarters (your friend's phone number). When they call your friend, have him tell the nice police officers that they make sure you're not sleeping on the job, and that you're fired if you are. They will then believe everything is A-OK and go on with their day to their local Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts restaurant.
After around 4 am, take the sign off of the late night deposit box and go back to your car and enjoy all of the cash you just made. You can throw away all of the checks for those who give you them, as you can't cash them.

The clay costs like 2 bucks per pack and i can make 4 out of one pack

That's very illegal. It's fraud, theft, and basically a scam.
If you want to make money playing games, find an MMORPG, make characters, and sell them online.
