Don't be upset by this, you only did what you wanted to do and what you felt was right at the time. Who says you two can't stay in contact and really develop something?
On a not so serious note, your story needs its own movie, I'd watch it.

Not for a significant period of time. I was only studying abroad for a semester, so the time dried up accordingly, and the money to come back isn't there and won't be in the foreseeable future.

Don't worry, I forgive you.
You can always keep in contact with her and see if you can ever return if you like her that much, or if she will ever come visit you. It's expensive to go to the UK, but isn't it relatively cheaper the other way around?

It sucks that you have to leave so soon, but wouldnt it have been even worse if you didnt tell her, and with that would have missed out on those 4 hours of heaven?
Never regret. You went for it, and got to experience something nice you wouldnt have experienced if you didnt tell her. In my opinion at least.

Problem solved. That's more like it and she probably (unknowingly) did the same thing with him, but might hurt her feelings. Hard to decide whether it's better to let other people live the lie or not.

I am not sure what the right reply would be since I have no knowledge about your live situation and origin but it always is a good way to go with you guts feeling. If you want you can make it work, if you let it go you will eventually be over her. You could have found The ONE or just someone who enlightend you life on your way through it.
