It depends on the rice because some rice can be really hard to get right, but as a rule short grain rice should be 1.5:1 water to rice ratio, while long grain is like 2:1. Boil the water then lower heat to medium, cover, and cook for 15 minutes. If there's still water in there cook it uncovered until the water evaporates. If it's dry add a little water and cook a bit longer. That's it man. I would recommend something like Uncle Ben's long grain white rice as it's very forgiving and easy to cook. The short grain rices can be annoying. | ||
