I had/have a condition really quite simliar for years on and off, especially when I was under a lot of stress. Sometimes also to a point where I actually dumped girls just because I didn't want them to see. Tried lots of different salves and went to several doctors and nothing really helped. Until one day I went to a new dermatologist who took a look, said 'this will help' and handed me a prescription. This was the last day my skin drove me crazy. I've had another salve with the same active ingredient before, but this had the added benefit that it was composed in such a ridiculously greasy way that it made the itch go away, and that made all the difference. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night anymore, realizing that after suffering the itches all day valiantly not scratching, I had ripped my skin raw in my sleep. I don't even need the salve anymore, only when I`m completely stressed and/or the air is very dry, I can feel the obnoxious itch creeping up under my skin. Then I put on a tiny bit of my magic potion and I'm good. Showering as short and as cold as my convenience allows is all I do now for prevention. Normal lotion is not helpful in my condition, so I try to not destroy my skins protective layer as much as possible. Don't give up on medicine. All it takes is one doctor's lucky guess  | ||
