This is basically gonna be a brag blog, but to disguise it I'll start off with a sad part!
So the last couple of years I've been kind of lonely, I've had maybe 5-6 friends and I've moved around alot. It's hard making new friends when all your co-workers are ex, or current, drug-addicts that only talk about drugs. And for you who remember my previous blogs I just started studying again after a long break.
Anyways, this weekend (or rather Thursday to Saturday) there was a "competition" at the university I study at. I write "competition" because it was basically "come here, get drunk as fuck". Before the whole thing I was kind of nervous because it was only me and a really socially awkard friend of mine on our "team". The same day as the "competition" was to start another friend who arranged the event called me in panic telling me that two of the teams from another university needed a guide for the weekend. I accepted and went to meet the teams, a bit worried since they had a bad reputation.
I got there and the first thing that happend was that one guy stood up and said "hey, who are you and what are you doing here?", my response was short and meant as a joke "I'm here to keep your drunk ass alive!". Tense moment, did he get it? Then laughter. And I didn't stop laughing for the entire weekend. These were some of the greatest people I've met, and their bad reputation was really uncalled for.
Now there's a second part to this story that puts this in the top 3 weekends (here's where the bragging begins):
I haven't had a girlfriend in... 3-ish years and I'm kind of fat (even though I've lost weight). So as you might imagine I don't really have the best of luck with the ladies. I also recently got rejected by a girl I really liked so my self-confidence was pretty low.
Boy did that change this weekend.
Pretty soon after meeting all the people in the teams I decided not to hit on any of the girls there, just because I didn't think it'd feel right. So I just hung around, talked to everybody and was my usual self. I wasn't looking for anything and I built a repertoire with everyone. So on thursday night we go out and get something to eat, needless to say we were all pretty drunk since we had been drinking for 9-10 hours at this point. I sat down with a girl I had had a pretend fight with all night. She spills some of her food on the arm of my sweater and I jokingly say "hey, see what you did? you better lick that up and do it quick". She actually does that, proceeds to put some more food on my lips and suddenly I have her tounge in my mouth. Thing is: she was pretty good looking and all I can think is "this...is...NOT fucking happening" because it never happens to me.
Anyway, the dinner moves along and I make a descision. I'm not gonna care if I make out with that girl again. I'm just not. Well 30 fucking minutes later I have a even hotter girl on my lap and once again "this...is...NOT fucking happening" all while my friends just stare at me in disbelief.
The weekend basically carried on just like that. I just didn't care if the girls came to me or not but they fucking did. The last day when I went home one of the girls whisperd in my ear "hey if you ever happen to be in*town where she's from*, gimme a call. I have a bed for two".
This was two fucking days ago and I still can't belive this and all my friends are sick of me telling them the stories (there's more then these but I don't want you too hate me too much).
THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO GUYS LIKE ME.

Also it could happen to anyone. Nobody thinks it will, they all think it'll be safely on the other side of the internet, but one day you'll find out that it happened to someone you know, and that's when you'll realize that it could happen to anyone. Even you.

It's interesting though, when you go out with an attitude of fuck hitting on girls I'm going to have fun and talk to a lot of random people and that's it, it often works out like that! Same thing when you have a girlfriend, suddenly girls are all over you. :[

Kinda circular logic there: Douchbags always treat them bad, they treat everyone bad. But not every girl loves douchebags, only girls with really bad self-esteem, they think of themselves as shit, so anyone who is nice to them must be worthless and unable to see how much shit they are. They feel that they deserve to be treated bad, so the douchebags are what they want.
The problem is with media and how it ruins the confidence of women, nothing else.

It sounds like what happened is that in not trying so hard you were able to just be yourself. And when you can comfortably be yourself you come across as more confident. Keep it up!

Thre's some of that. From what he wrote there is also :
- Being drunk make you act in the moment, more confident, you don't have any shitty internal dialogue. This is a formula known for age, but you get better results if you can act this way sober.
- Women attracts women, having displayed one likes you made others attracted to you.
- You didn't give a shit and punched through (probably helped by the fact you were drunk.)
But, from some other sentences I just fear OP look at it just as a lucky week end and not as a way to reframe some of his thinking.

Well after reading this I'm starting to think that this might be the way to go. All my life before this I've been looking for "the one" I guess. Might be time to realize that there isn't anything like "the one".

I don't know why you make a deal out of being fat, girls don't care about your chubbiness if you have a cute/handsome face and a nice personality. I feel happy reading these stories, I think it's great you were able to experience something like that. Be happy if you were born with a normal face.
