So today i decided i would try to grind from plat to diamond, ended up going 19-6 and i was getting tired so i thought i would stop for the night, but i thought why not 1 more game. Turns out to be me(Z) vs a Random player on steppes and i decided to 6pool to get it over with, was hoping he randomed protoss when i sent my 6th drone to scout but it was a zerg, fortunately he went 14p after back and forth fights i kill his pool and he leaves, and alas i get promoted to diamond.

Always a good feeling getting into diamond. I remember it well haha. Oh and don't feel bad about 7 pooling... I did the same thing to get really far in a local SC2 tourney. Worked for me in the clutch, I actually took a game off a 1988 point diamond (NA rank 144) player with 7 pool. And funny thing is, he did the same thing! It was 7 pool vs. 7 pool and I ended up winning.

Steppes for Zerg is so crappy. I forgot to thumbs down that map for a while and kept 6 pooling when I had to play on it.

Congrats though, I feel your steppes pain!
