Right now I'm in ECHS (early college high school) and I want to get out of here. Its boring. Basically, after I'm finished with high school, I have a 2 years associates degree if I use every opportunity they give me.

Thing is, idc about this right now honestly. They don't have any languages to learn besides Spanish, when I want to live in Germany and don't care to know Spanish at all. We don't have any sports teams and that makes me rage like mad. I pretty much just want to go to a regular highschool so, I BEG of you give me some things to say to convince my parents. I'm 15 years old so................

You definitely need to get more information before deciding something like this. Getting a basically free associates degree right out of highschool is huge. Also learning spanish is a huge asset in the USA for a job if you seriously learn it and not just take a class and dont really learn anything.

On a side note of course you dont care about it now. Thats the same for pretty much any kid, but it can make it so much easier later on. For example I wish I had been able to get a 2 year degree right out of hs that would be awesome right now considering the college I want to go to is going to cost something like 20-50k for a 2 year. This is of course assuming you can get a degree in something you would like to do and not just some bs.

I'm not going to live in the U.S. when I'm older though.

Do you just not want to live here or do you have actual plans to move right now?

I have plans to move when I'm 18 years old and finished high school.

I think the deciding factor would be if you can get a degree in something you would like to do. Also if another school teaches german and you are sure you are moving there then that would obviously be a good argument.

I don't want anything to do with the arts lol, I want to be a pharmacist, nothing more nothing less, I don't really know what I want to do in life and this is really stressing me out. I will talk with both parents when my dad gets back from work and try to decide on something.

Do not do anything before you first find out what you truly want to do with your life. I'm a graduate and know a shitload of stories (better than this) that have ended worse than shit.

I was in the same boat for far too long in not knowing what I wanted to do in life. I would suggest talking with a school counselor about not knowing what you want to do and what interests you and see if that helps.

unless you already have a job waiting for you, you definitely don't have plans to live in germany when you're 18. you might have an intention, but making a decision like this based on an intent as loose as this one might cause you some trouble down the line.

Why do you want to move to Germany so badly? Do you actually know German? Are you going to have a job lined up as soon as you hit 18 or are your parents going to support you? Are you going to be going to school in Germany?

Duno it seems like you're pretty deadset to go to germany for no reason at all... a free associative degree is pretty huge no matter what field it is in. Plus it'll probably help you get your bachelor degree faster if your future college accepts your credits. No offense, you're 15 and probably don't know shit (I certainly didn't when I was 15... shit I'm 23 and I still don't know shit) so I'm interested in why you know you're going to move to germany at 18.

Also an Associates in Arts doesn't mean its for ARTS its just what the degree is called, its the basic 2 year degree. You can have an Associates in Arts for Biology English whatever. I think you should do more research and come to a better understanding of your own situation before making a potentially lifefucking decision.

Edit: redundancy

Dad : Truck driver
Mom: stays at home and takes care of little brother
Education: Dad didn't go to school for more then 6th-7th grade
Beliefs: Want me to get a good paying job

I personally want to be a pharmacy technician, and just go through a course or two, get a certificate, and work.

The reason I want to move to Germany is because it is close to my home country Bosnia, and I hope to finish my life in Bosnia. I want to be able to go there frequently, but if I live in the U.S. it costs 5,000+$ just to get over there.

If you like your country Bosnia so much, maybe you should do an advanced degree in the US (say, medical school) and bring your expertise to Bosnia.

While I agree that Germany is a very industrial country (my dad stayed there briefly), what you are trying to do is really far-fetched. Just calm down, stay in school, and wait for a better time to move.

I'm curious, why exactly do you want to live in Germany then Bosnia? Besides you being of Bosnian descent.

If that's you're only reason you should probably rethink it. Can you even speak the language? You can't speak German yet either so you're decision kind of confuses me. Even with 3 years experience you'd still struggle with the language having spent no time in Germany once you get there. That's not even the biggest problem. No job lined up (of course not you're 15) so how will you live there? You're parents are going to support you? You're dad is a commercial truck driver, he probably brings in decent money but not enough to support your mother, your little brother, and himself plus you in a foreign country.

Please for your own well being drop this train of thought. It's all fine and good to dream about moving to those countries but it's honestly stupid to attempt it before you have your degree/education complete and a decent bit of money to support you while you look for a job. You probably won't be on the same hiring level as the natives there anyway. One you may be Bosnian descent but you aren't a national. You'll need papers before you can even start looking for a job. Also take into account you will probably be passed over by employers for in favor of someone with your same qualifications but is actually a native of the country and is familiar with how the society works over there. There's tons of factors that you just aren't thinking about.

The only thing that you should worry about is if your Highschool and this Associates degree is accredited so you can get into a decent college and finding a part time job for school, maybe throwing in some clubs and volunteer work to pad your college app and resume for when you get older.

If your school is accredited you are way better off than most people your age education wise. You will have an easier time getting a job out of highschool (especially if you have a little work experience) and you will have a jump start on getting a degree (don't get some pharmacy certificate or w/e get an actual degree in pharmacy).
