Grab an ipod and find a place to run that has good scenery. Find out if there's a marathon or something that is run each year so that you have something to work towards .
Snowboarding, breakdancing and surfing are great too !

Hm. If you have any friends who grapple, you guys should get together and do some grappling inside a garage with a nice mat. I've been doing amateur grappling with my friends for over 3 years now and I am in the best shape of my life (along with working out of course). Grappling works out almost every single muscle in your body, builds your core, and your strength. And a BIG plus....it's fun!!! You get to push yourself to the limit and have a good fight with your buddies.

I know that there are many gyms that and small groups that recruit grappling partners. Try researching that.


Another thing you should try if you don't have too much time on your hands is P90X. It is very intense with only about 1 hour of workout a day. It mixes in body building, yoga, plyometrics, a little kickboxing and much more. This is something you have to push yourself to the limit also so it is fun =].

Edit:
BTW, I lost about 16 pounds through P90X and am down to 4% body fat. Before I was 175ish pounds and about 11% body fat. I'm on day 120+ in P90X+ and it's a killer.

I was gonna post this too. Just went on a climbing trip this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. You do need to know at least a few other people who already know a bit about it or are willing to get into it with you though. Or if you're in school there may be some sort of club that does it.

Thanks for all the responses guys. The gym that I go to actually has a rock wall that I've never even used, mostly beecause the rock wall closes early and when I go to the gym it's usually at night. Next time I go I'll try it out if I can though.

i cant see how you find weightlifting 'a chore'. its always a challenge, should always leave you exhausted and feeling burnt out after a good workout. if you dont get any of that, youre obviously not trying hard enough.

maybe you dont find a proper reward in weightlifting. find some girls and show them your musclez, that's your reward

Dunno, lifting weights just feels so boring to me nowadays. Aside from impressing the girls, I guess weight lifting just seems rather pointless. As far as I'm concerned at the moment, by body is good enough as it is. Besides that, I'm not really thinking much about girls nowadays, as I'm heavily focused on other things. I suppose that the main things I desire from a workout are to simply stay healthy and have a clear mental state. But I lack self-discipline, and if I'm going to get a workout, I need to do something that I at least enjoy to some extent.

I can certainly see why you find weightlifting boring. Maybe because it is >.>

Not everybody has a button they can press to motivate themselves to physical activity, unfortunately for us. So you need a sport which will press you to run!

If you like tennis, you should just play it. You can probably find a tennis league, if you're in a decently sized city.
