[Q] SC2 free for all South Koreans?

Everything I've read says that SC2 is free only for South Koreans who have a registered WoW account. However, I was in Korea this summer and was able to log into SC2 at a PC room with a Korean b.net account that a native Korean person created for me (this account does not have WoW).

Also, when I access this Korean b.net account online here in the US, it appears as though I'm able to download the Korean SC2 client.

So.. it seems as though anyone with a Korean b.net account can download and play SC2 for free. Am I wrong about this?

It's free in Korea because it's in "Open Beta"

That is so weird, hopefully the game never comes out of the "beta" stage.

So you're saying that the game hasn't actually been released in Korea and that it's still in beta? Any idea when the open beta will end?

disappointing playtime in korea, korea pc bangs have measurements to see how much a game has been played.

sc2's performance is mediocre considering the hype.

But wasn't it reported that Blizzard was charging PC Bangs a high per-hour per-player fee if players did in fact play SC2 there? It would actually be a major disincentive for PC Bang owners to encourage players to play that game as they would earn less from such players compared to players who play other games at the PC Bangs where the PC Bang didn't have to pay an hourly fee back to the game publisher.
