I'm thinking of going into aviation programs for my post-secondary education. I live in Canada, Toronto to be specific. I'm looking at piloting and aviation maintenance engineer programs, what are some notable colleges with these programs?

my friend is doing aviation at University of Waterloo. It's pretty good, you get coop and the courseload is pretty laid-back.

The best is definitely Royal Military College, but most people cannot endure a military style education, and the academic requirements are as high as hell. See if it's the right school for you.

To me, it sounds like you want to be a pilot/mechanic. Universities teach theory. They do not teach anything practical. What you will learn is math, science, why things work and it will have absolutely nothing to do with what it seems like you want to do. Also, there is no research that goes into being a pilot/mechanic since its a very manual intensive job. Thus, there will be no research funding and therefore no university. I may be wrong, but i have not heard of a Aviation Major. I'm not talking about ONE course, i am talking about a major.

I think your best bet are military colleges.

Sounds like the best thing for you is to join the airforce. If you're not ready for that, take up math and physics in college, they can't look bad on an application.

college? i onno.

ryerson university in toronto, ontario offers an aerospace engineering program though.

my buddy is in it and he gets to design, fix and make model planes and fly them at contests and shit. looks freakin fun.

not a lot of chicks in the program though. so i hope you can live without women for a while if you arent the type who can grab girls at bars/clubs, etc.
