I just made 10 BANGlings for orders and couldnt resist taking pics with all of them.
what ever you do dont hit the X button.
I know they are called Banelings, but i call my fanart plushies BANGlings. Also there are 11 in the image, one is my own personal BANGling i made for myself. so squishy! By the by...I'm the girl in the picture LOL
It takes about 6-8 hours to make, Hence the $50 price tag, and they are 9 inches long, 6 inches side, and about 8 inches tall, . I'll be making more soon...i have gallery shows i have to plush up first before making more. =)
I don't know about putting them up for adoption. I could see some one taking one home and playing a bit too roughly with it and then you are in all sorts of trouble with the law for giving away a pet that turns its owner into a pile of green slime
Wow that's so cool haha. I think for plushies, zerg would only come out cute like that lol. Except the reaver. The reaver is always cute. I know there are reaver plushies around but you should make one too :o

I think a Thor or Probe plushy would be absolutely cute.
Maybe you could hire someone else/some other place to handle (some of) the work? I'm pretty sure Tasteless doesn't make all the handsomenerd shirts himself.

way to creep out this thread bro
When you hear this from Dr. Helvetica, you know you have crossed the line.
I loled
Why did the OP say she was the girl though? Was it to get a guy online to hit on her? Just to make her feel better about herself?
Oh well, doesn't matter.
LOL no I got a couple PM's that called me man and sir. So I was clarifying i was the female in the image. I care not for being hit on, or feeling better about my self.

Linked this to a friend of mine and now she's going to make me one :O Won't be a competing brand though, don't worry! Bestest baneling friends for all!

Yeah I've became interested since the original thread. I wanted to give one to a girl as a present. I know she likes cute things but she doesn't know what StarCraft is and I don't know whether she would appreciate it then, though. Nevertheless I could keep it for myself if she does not feel the same way about it.

That's true, but they're not made in a third world country, the OP makes them herself.
Anyway, they're so cuuuuuuuute~
Thank you Box.N.Straw!! <3 <3
I know the price is not Wal-mart prices, but I do hand make them and each one takes about 6+ hours. So calculating in material cost, that's about $10 an hour, possibly a little less. Maybe I'll try and make a smaller less fancy version, that i can pump out in an hour or 2. (that's what she said)
My wife knits things... and co-workers just SWOON over them. They want to know "oh that is so cute, how much for one?"
They are always shocked that the answer is between 40-60 dollars, and that is being pretty cheap on time. (Considering at work she makes $20+ an hour). Though she enjoys the knitting... she can turn out some gloves or a beanie hat in a weekend... with materials and time its always over 20$.
Bar none, people seem practically offended by the prices... "I can buy one at walmarf for $4.99!!!." Sure, go ahead then... and be sure to promptly complain that there are no jobs in this country and that we don't earn enough in wages.
I really just wonder what they expect to hear as far as price...
cursor: The demand is really high right now because there is no competition. And frankly, if a few more ppl start making these, the demand probably will still be pretty high (in the $30-50 range). Honestly, if you make these for any gaming niche ... and post in their forums about it ... you should be able to command a $50 price tag. So if your wife has the time ... I say go for it.
And also, ppl will want to buy the one that looks better/is cuter ... so more competition is good =) (except for the OP).
If they take that long to make then I don't mind the price. As someone else said record the whole process and then play it in fast forward and post the video sped up. And they are cute.
Omg! These pictures are so cute. I wonder if the one I got way back from that other thread is in them. His name is Emilio and he is my little gentleman, btw. The little guy had a bit of trouble standing at first--which was adorable--but he's fine now. Every morning, I see him waiting by my bedroom window to greet me. He really makes my day.
Any chance that you're still planning on making other Zerg plushies? My friends and I can't get over how cute and funny these things are. Emilio too would really like an infestor or hydra companion. A corruptor or ultra would be equally acceptable.
