Launch Party for me starts in approximately 10 hours from now. I'll be going to one of the launch parties in Wellington, and I was wondering if there were any other TL'ers going to launch parties tonight.

Also, has anybody dedicated days off from the 27th onwards to grind out SCII? I've taken off about a week just to concentrate on single player and multi-player modes.

If there's anybody going to any in Wellington, I'll be the guy wearing an XKCD shirt.

I'll be at EB Games in Welly to pick up my copy at 11ish, so I might see you around. I was going to play it all night but I've got an early start (8am Economics, joy...) so I figured I'd get some sleep and just play most of tomorrow instead haha. I guess that way I'll be awake enough to tune into Day[9]'s cast at 11am as well.

I imagine I'll be playing as much as I can in between classes during the week and then rattle off a load of playtime during the first few weekends.

I didn't realise there were launch parties? Are they all at EB Games? Does anyone know of any here in Auckland?

Truth be told I've been too lazy and disinterested to follow SC2 news so pretty much forgot that it's being released tomorrow.

Where are you guys purchasing sc2? Most of the places are so damn expensive, $130

Sweet as, I'll be at EB on Manners from about 10pm (or whenever the buses here don't fuck up.) Kinda cruel for VUW to make people start classes at 8am though. Will probably detach myself for SC2 to watch the cast as well.

From what I know (and that's unfortunately very little), it's just EB Games (and associated companies) that are holding a launch party, although it might just be certain stores that choose to do it.

I pre-ordered mine from EB. I do agree that $130 is gouging, but New Zealand always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to game prices.

Sidenote: 100th post as well. Kinda shocked that I managed to make it this far, even though I was lurking here before TSL2. I guess I need to post more...

EDIT: Speedbump.930 is the tag. I can play SC2, but not get sound. (Hooray for having to use Ubuntu/WINE)
