Women are just like men.

Imagine this, we all have female friends we aren't attracted too. For whatever reason, they don't like the same things we like-- or maybe they have a couple extra pounds, or they act a certain way that doesn't allow you to ever see her as being more than just a friend. Like herpes.

If all of a sudden, she loses a couple pounds-- and starts kicking your ass in Starcraft, and buys you a new iPhone for Christmas-- right after they discover a cure for Herpes and all of a sudden, you realize that she would be an awesome catch.

If there isn't the "connection" it doesn't mean it cannot form-- but it isn't something that can be forced. Sometimes you just have to be more appealing, everyone has different tastes.

Anyways-- friendzone, is a total myth if you ask me.

I view the friend-zone as just a quick way to say "hey I didn't get this girl... and she currently only sees me as a friend". Some guys will throw this woman to the wolves and would never want to see her again and get all "emo" because they made a fantasy world were they were already dating.

Then other guys who take a step back and continue the friendship, and in some cases they end up together and if at worst you are friends.

I've always seen the friendzone as meaning when a girl's only thinking of you as a friend, but you want to date her. It generally happens when you've got a girl used to having male friends (thus easily thinks of guys as just friends) and a guy not used to having girls as just friends (thus thinking of girls mostly as relationships). The problem that's discussed in blogs is how do you get a girl to stop seeing you as just a friend and start seeing you as dateable material, which can be really hard and often end the friendship if it works out bad.
