So the recent months everything has been about SC2, and I've been really bored to be honest. I massgamed SC2 the first month but got bored eventually and quit completely, only playing SSBM and HoN for a while.

Today I went on youtube to watch a few classics and I'm not gonna lie, I shed a tear and came to an realization. No game can beat SCBW, ever.

I like sc2 more than sc1. SC1 has been beaten to death. I've seen it all in SC1. Sc2 for me is more exciting, more fun to watch, more fun to play, everything except bnet is better in sc2 IMO

People say they like SC2 only because it's new and shiny, it will never be better or more enjoyable than BW. Even after 10 years we have people like Hiya pulling shit out on free, seeing where SC2 units are going, SC2 will never get there.

and sc2 isn't even released yet? Sc1 is a great game, but i think sc2 has greater ambitions and capabilities,

While this is pretty subjective, and it's kinda ridiculous to tell people they don't actually enjoy sc2, I totally agree with everything else. For me at least, bw is just an all around more entertaining, dynamic game both to play and to watch.

Basically this.

The fact that I recognize that Brood War is (and may always be) better than SC2 doesn't prevent me from enjoying SC2.

After playing Starcraft for 8~ years.. I prefer Starcraft 2. Everyone has their opinion but people need to stop "expressing" their opinion by making a thread saying "NO GAME CAN BEAT BW EVER" I am amazed at how big BW got, it's not dead till it's dead. Korea is running 2 leagues 1 bw 1 Sc2.. For newer players obviously they will prefer Sc2 because of the looks, etc.
After 8 years of Starcraft 1, I think i'll go play Starcraft 2 from now on..is that okay? TT
People can play as they chose, Like BW more? go play that..

Dont be so hard on people who say they enjoy sc2 more. Most of them are people who discovered sc in 2010 and dont know much about BW yet, let alone understanding and playing it properly or were just searching an easier game. (at least most of the people i know and have seen are like that so far) imo

So basically your giving up on bw because it's too hard? I don't think this should be the reason for you to switch to sc2. I dunno. I feel like a Jew circa 60AD. Obv I've got an awesome religion with a load of depth and history and tradition but Christianity just came out and it's catching on. It doesn't have most of the stuff I love about Judaism but I am way less likely to find myself on the fringes down the line. Switch with the masses or find yourself in an isolated and dwindling group fighting Nazis.
