Originally I was going to sleep. OSL finals is cool and all, but it's not like the MSL finals or anything. So originally, I planned on just going to sleep, waking up, and catching the games.
Then I watched this week's "Back Talk" between the commentators. The commentators present this week was Kim Carrier, Uhm JaeGyung, and Kingdom. They talked about the match rigging scandals of course.
I won't go into details -- you guys should be able to watch it yourselves soon. But the what really got me is how near the end, it's literally just watching then grovel, sucking up all their pride, all their shame, all their anger, and just begging for forgiveness.
You know how when you did something really bad to someone else, and your parents has to come? And you know how your parents are probably REALLY pissed at you, but they don't show that -- their first emotion they feel is that they have failed as a parent, and that they have to just be so apologetic towards the other party... they're angry, but they just can't show it. They just want their child forgiven, and wish to bear whatever they can on themselves.
Watching these commentators just talk was exactly like that. JaeGyung used the exact same analogy, and by the end I was just so convinced that these commentators literally viewed the sports as their child, and wished to just bear whatever shame for it's forgiveness.
Kim Carrier just spent so much time, begging, pleading with the fans to just come show up to today's OSL finals. I was originally going to sleep -- but now, I'll be staying awake. Why? I want to see Kim Carrier cry -- I want to see that Hangar completely full of people, cheering for their players, for E-Sports, and I just want this to be an event, a sign that the fans have forgiven E-Sports so that it can grow in the future, and I want to see their faces, I want to see the players' faces, as they just see that their fans are there supporting them.
Here's hoping for a good Finals tonight.

Even in the wake of this scandal, I will still proudly admit to being a Savior fan. I cannot forgive him for what he did, but that doesn't chance what he did in terms of game play. It's a shame that one of the greatest gamers to have ever touched this game would be up to his eyeballs in this, but them's the breaks.
