Yeah, write about something that you think will have the most impact. Eg a book about recycling aimed at young children will teach them not to waste. Bigger impact than a reference book for university students stating facts about recycling.

A book about dating with starcraft metaphors would be appreciable for *cough* some people on TL *cough*.

I vote fanfiction. Its your book, it doesnt really have to have a single thing. it could be like the history of progaming/metagame trends and in every chapter you also have some fiction story where you examine an underexplored aspect of the lore

you could have a chapter on sc dating advice too. put in whatever you want! if its a fun, varied book people will read it

Definitely a fanfic, maybe in multiple installations. It'd be cool to trace the rise of a progamer, from first matches, acceptance into proteam, B-team to A-team, royal road, SL win, to subsequent fall betrayals, strats leaked to other team, some savior-esque drama involving expensive clothes, hookers, and match fixing.

You have plenty of real-life material to work with, and you might end up putting a humanizing spin on some of the shadier things progamers do and some of the sacrifices they have to make.
