if im blatantly honest i enjoy the current part of bleach's story more than where the one piece anime is at right now, because bleach is at a major turning point while teaching you about the very root of the main character's adventure which even he himself didnt know. while one piece on the other hand is only in a prelude to the next big event, which again is only a prelude to luffys next step. so one piece is two tiny steps before a major event which will lead into a second chapter of the whole story (like shippuuden for naruto), while bleach is already at it. its so amazing, its really more fun than ever to be following both series. >_< dont waste your chance of following any of them just because theyre not as crazy as in the beginning momentarily. tons of interesting stuff ahead! especially after you already thought that On April 05 2010 14:50 cz wrote: I'm still surprised that bad guys don't come back to life in One Piece | ||

Doubt it, this is the new Funimation dub which isn't abridged like the previous two versions. I've watched a bit of the subbed on youtube and it was awful. | ||

You are thinking of the 4kids dub. The Funimation Dub is legit. And seriously, there I can't see why you would think the original japanese voices are "terrible". The main reason that the Funimation dub is as good as it is, is because its so close to the feel you get from the original japanese version. I mean, in the 4kids dub, Sanji had a Brooklyn accent, not to mention various other characters (or all the loledits)... I can almost guarantee you that you are going to pick up the subbed versions once you run out of dubbed episodes. There is no way you are just going to stop watching One Piece with 300 episodes and climbing to go. Also, what did you think of Luffy's encounter with Crocodile? | ||

I stopped reading one piece because I like things that end and only bad or greedy writers keep stories going longer than they should (there were so many scenes in OP that took several chapters which could be explained in like a few pages). | ||

They just doubled that arc's length, since the following one (Water 7/Ennies Lobby) was extremely long. you are right. it consists of 19 chapters initially. however their later appearance, even though it was only for two episodes, was a filler. i only started to read the manga at about chapter 500... in this case i must say that im more disappointed in the series than i previously thought and that there isnt as much to the criticism of boring naruto/bleach arcs compared to the more favourably perceived one piece as people make you think. or maybe i just have to rewatch that part. dunno. :| (a pretty good listing of arcs can of course be found in the related article of the one piece wiki) | ||
