Before you get married it is important to step back from your emotional feelings and assess the practical elements of your union. After all, marriage (should be) for a long long time. If you both have the same weaknesses, it can cause great stress in a relationship. For example, I suck at cooking. I don't even enjoy it very much. When Mrs. Manifesto and I were apart for a year I simply paid extra to avoid the hassle. She loves it. It is her hobby, and something she enjoys doing and experimenting with. We match. Another example is money. I am awesome with money. That is, I relentlessly spend everything I have on useless shit. She is a saver. Thus, with the best interests of our children in mind, I give her all the money and I get back an allowance. On the other hand, I am a career oriented person while she does not feel especially called to a certain profession. She doesn't mind worknig but it isn't something she has to do. She would rather be at home when the kids get home. So, my strengths allow her to focus on her passion for family life without the pressures of feeling like she has to go out and work. I wish people would consider the real nuts and bolts of their co-habitation which, in the long run, have more to do with happiness than the mushy emotional stuff. | ||

I play some Sherlock Holmes games and Star Craft on the PC. um what else... I listen to just about everything under the sun except for Disney. There is no excuse for that. I listen to Classic Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, Blues, Country, Metal, Screamo, Rock, Alternate, and Techno. I play paintball and family football. I watch hockey, Football, and baseball all the time. w00t Red Sox & Patriots & Bruins!!! I snowboard, run, and surf a lot during the right seasons. I love playing with fire ^_^ I also love fixing computers. I'm not afraid to get dirty which is why I absolutely love mudding. Funnest thing to do and worth cleaning up the jeep after. I also fish a lot so if your squeamish, we might not get along to well. The last thing I want to say is I am dating a guy named Jeremy and I spend every minute I can with him right now because he is leaving on September 11th to Kuwait with the Army. Don't talk bad about the army around me btw. All I will have to say is that if you won't stand behind our soldiers, then feel free to stand in front of them. But I love him so much and I'm proud to say he is my boyfriend and hero. I will miss him more then anything when he is gone. I also dabble in other nerdy things like computers and trance music. which i love a lot. I also am a rugby player in college and have played pretty much every other sport under the sun and am a huge closet nerd. And i love my awesome girlfriend who cooks really well and is really in love with me even if she is insecure. TL used to be good, when people were mature enough to not use keyboard faces like O.O and whatnot. Not only that, but you fit the exact description of a "gamergirl," one who uses the fact that she apparently plays games and is a nerd just like the rest of us, to get retarded white knights to defend you when you're called a dumb whore(this is what you are). It's retarded. You're trying to avoid negative attention from people because you're a girl(OH SHIT NO GIRLS ON THE INTERNET) yet you openly state you're a girl, which by the way nobody gives a fuck about. All that we can judge someone by is on what they post on these forums, and based on what she wrote in the op, it did come off as an ad, imo. I think the days of the internet being inhabited by guys whose only communication with women included their mom, sister and possibly their teacher are somewhat gone--especially on TL. Yeah the ratio is still quite large, but I don't see people being treated that much differently. The girls that are treated in high regard just happen to also contribute a lot (i.e.mnm, lil susie and nevergg). | ||
