ICCUP BSOD?

Earlier today I decided to ladder a bit. I won a ZvT and immediately alt+tab to check the replay. However when I did this my computer all of a sudden stopped responding so I ctrl+alt+delete to see that the CPU usage is 100%. Now I know pretty much nothing about computers but I'm pretty sure that number is supposed to be as low as possible. I can't click on anything but stuff in the Windows Manager and end pretty much every process that I'm sure won't do anything. Still nothing so I turn off my desktop using the button on the computer itself. It boots up in safe mode so I just turn it off and go do other stuff.

Well now I'm back and wanted to ladder again so I win a ZvP and alt+tab again only this time to not be able to ctrl+alt+delete and get a BSOD which restarts my computer in safe mode again. Has anyone had this happen? I've been playing ICCUP for a year or two now and this has never happened to me even when I alt+tab before. No idea why this is happening. Now my mouse (Razer Salmosa) drivers aren't responding either and the sensitivity is completely wrong. This never happened when I used to play P....

happened to me too (or something similar to this). reinstalled the game and launcher and haven't had problem since.

Hint hint? Perhaps the BW gods are trying to tell you something?

But seriously, check and see what programs/drivers you've installed recently and uninstall/revert back to old drivers one by one and see if it helps. I had a similar problem with random crashes when I started using dual monitors, for example, and it turned out it was a Windows update that was incompatible with my ATI drivers when using dual monitors.

Can you reproduce this error? Chances are that if it's new, it's not ICCup's problem, but rather the problem of some other process running in the background.

Almost happened again... computer froze but instead of alt+tab out of BW I just exit after a game. Started responding again after a couple minutes though. Guess I'll try reinstalling.

Your GPU steals away huge amounts of ram/cpu resources. That card isn't made for gaming, simple as that.

Yeah this happened to me for ages until I figured it out. If you minimise starcraft with Start D it does not crash your starcraft or anything else, that is the only way I have found to successfully minimise sc.
