which was probably the first original song I made with that program. Recently I got back into making random beats/songs.

Figured I'd just share. Never really showed this to anyone except in another TL thread, so I just wanted to see how other people might like them.

first song i can clearly hear a lot of FL drum kits and some sawer preset... try to come up with your own sounds! Also the bass / formant lead thingy has too much reverb while the drums have none.
Most of the tracks are OK, but the drums need a lot of work mix wise imo.
I really like Greasy's flow, it's begging for a killer lead

I listened to all the songs untill Greasy. I'll check the rest when I'm off work. Keep up with the good work!

Ah, thanks. I always thought the drums sounded somewhat out of place, but couldn't figure out why. I'll try to fix that.

And yeah, the main instruments I use are the boobass and a few Sytrus presets, I'm reading up on some guides to learn how to program sytrus/synthesizers in general since I have some sounds/tones in my head that I'm having trouble trying to reproduce.

I think your songs lack some sort of final touch, some of them feel like they're not quite finished. You should also work on the drums, perhaps download some 1-shot sample packs from piratebay, as whatever sounds you get originally from fl are usually terrible. Learning sytrus is a good move imo, it's really fun when you get the hang of it!

, but the mixing sounds sort of bland overall on the songs I listened to (the drums need reverb and good panning as West said). There are a lot of free VST's out there as well, and some are insanely customizable and sound great. I myself have been using acid pro 7 the past several months, using mainly the midi piano roll and a horde of VSTi's (finally ordered a midi keyboard last week..will be soo much easier). Definitely get the Vengeance Essential club sounds, some amazing drum sounds in those packs. Some better drum sounds would go amazingly far on those songs

Thanks everyone. Still trying to get the hang of mixing everything well. Thought it was going to be simple ("add some reverb, some compression, fuck yeah I'm awesome") but am quickly realizing how wrong I was, ah well, it's pretty fun so far.
