I saw Obama when he was a Senator giving a talk about something or other on the floor of the Senate. I was sitting on the observation benches above the Senate chamber.
All I remember is that there were no other Senators there, apart from Obama, who was giving a speech to a CSPAN camera. Also, Obama opened the door for a female aide before leaving.

He's speaking at our commencement at the University of Michigan this year. Each graduate is allowed 8 guests, and I've already got friends asking for tickets ^_^;

This. Not entirely his fault, but tell him and all his Democrat buddies in Congress I didn't vote for them to be friends with the goddamn Republicans. You fuckers have majority like everywhere, get something done and stop being a bunch of pussies.
Or it's just that the practically all Democrats are corporatist's too, they just masquerade under the progressive banner instead of the traditionalist banner of the Republicans.

so apparently since most of the class is on the registration list to see Obama speak and with such a tight time overlap (the exam was scheduled 8am-10:30am, Obama speaking at 11:30am but gates opening MUCH earlier) my professor rescheduled our exam to Monday morning so we can all see Obama speak without worrying about scheduling overlap and getting stuck with shitty seats.
LOL NOW I GET AN ENTIRE EXTRA WEEKEND TO STUDY PLUS EVEN BETTER SEATS LOOOOOL BEST BDAY EVER.
HUZZAH!

I stole a kiss from Michelle Trachtenberg once.

I saw him speak during the '08 primary season. It was some mostly boring "I like X, Y, and Z" rally stuff, where X, Y, and Z are catered towards the current audience. He probably has more interesting things to talk about now with healthcare, I would hope.

I had dinner on a table next to Jackie Chan when he was shooting Rumble In the Bronx in Vancouver. He's a cool guy. I was 7 or 8 at the time and was too shy to just walk over and ask for an autograph. But, I kept looking over at his table and he before he left he waved me over and signed an autograph. Too bad we didn't bring a camera at the time.

aww, lucky. i want to see Obama. =\
the closest thing i ever got to seeing a president was Hilary Clinton coming to my school to campaign for the democratic nomination.

You should offer him a SC2 beta buddy key if he agrees to LAN with you.
Sounds cool though, enjoy the personality.

T_T I really want to see Obama. It is not fair that a lot of my friends and family got to shake hands (one actually got her picture taken with him).
Haha, cherish the opportunity man, I really envy you.

Played poker with Shannon Elizabeth and Nelly, plus watched a friend play at the same table as Leonardo Di Caprio. Also been sitting on the table next to James Woods, and played with several NBA pro`s I don`t remember the name of that my basket loving friend who played with Di Caprio informed me about afterward who was.
Also walked past a lot of famous people in Vegas like Michael Jordan, Di Caprio etc + met lots of Norwegian celebs when I am out flying or at the airports.
Never met any famous politicians nor do I have an urge to do it either, actually its nothing special about meeting famous people imo :p

Xi Jinping (China's Vice President) came to our Sinology department this year to congratulate our department and hand over a collection of Chinese e-books. Was impressive and I got to shake his hand, oh yeah. ^____^

I'm in DC right now. Met with 2 Congress people today and a FCC Commissioner.
If you actually get the chance to ask questions, ask him why he doesn't force some transparency on the health care plan committee or why he's allowing them to draw up such a pitiful plan.
