While I do agree to an extent with the general opinion that the series is past its prime, I find that there's still quite a few quality episodes in the double digit seasons. Season 1 did drag on, and I personally felt that beyond establishing the family's base characteristics, it didn't strike out as a very strong season. I think the season 6-9 era contained some of the best episodes, but again, I question the outright dismissal of anything past season 15 (heck, I've even seen the line drawn at season 10) that seems to occur a lot. It's still a solid show IMO, with occasional moments of brilliance. Have fun | ||

 but with your post, i'm now inspired to start again from season 1 episode 1 favorite season - i can't say i have a favorite season. i love some episodes from one season to another. but i prefer the old seasons than the new ones. except for season 1 i think, i love the story line in season 1 but i find it dull, the drawing and the sound effects are a bit boring. | ||

I know a lot of the die hard Simpsons fans prefer the 6-12 season or somewhere around that part but for me the newest seasons 19-21 were the most fun.. currently I am on a quest to watch all House M.D. episodes and am currently half way through season 5. | ||

there's no way I could do like a marathon though, that sorta crap always kills me hard enough to jump into a series that has already started, especially if it isn't just on like every day at a convenient time | ||
