Notes:

This was my first time since last year shooting an outside concert. There was no stage so it was a bit of a challenge. The back lighting also made things difficult, but I had fun experimenting with photos that *didn't* involve the band members being the main focus.

I also rocked the lack of a press pass by stomping my way to the front row and just sitting down as if I was meant to be there

(I'll go back to SC photography one of these days. I just need to find my motivation again. I'm enjoying music photography way too much recently.)

Nice, must have been hard to photograph in low light.

my gf loves these guys; i'm just glad they can play instruments and aren't just another boy band (tho maybe they're just FT island 2 haha)

It was freezing too. I was literally sitting on wet grass with my legs completely numb. I love a challenge though. I was really pleased to get so many decent shots with all the conditions working against me.

I think it's good for FTIsland to have some competition in the whole 'Boy band who play their own instruments' category. I can confirm that Yonghwa (the vocalist.) has an excellent voice and he's pretty charismatic as a leader. The others seem quite quirky and interesting too. They have a smiliar energy as FTIsland too, but they're so new to Korea that they also feel quite unsure of themselves infront of the fans from what I've gathered.

First thing that instantly popped in my head was their similarity to FTIsland, dont know much about them though.

I actually think they're pretty good but they seem to be getting alot of shit from people.

Plagiarism, fake band and whatnot. Kinda feel bad for them...

Yeah, they've had a really rough start. I think these street concerts are designed to specifically show that they are competant musicians who aren't just getting fame off of the back of Yonghwa being in 'You're Beautiful.' and nothing else.
