ShadowDrgn United States2497 Posts February 19 2010 10:04 GMT #1 I'm not a huge fan of 1v1 ladders so I've been playing lots of 1v1 against my friends and 2v2 against randoms. Good times. Keep getting matched up against TL people too. I hope these screenshots scale... 9-0 in placement matches and then this happens. So I'm really dumb and bad at walling. 3 zealots and roaches coming into my base and I have nothing. We beat those guys once before because they had no plan if their rush failed, but they got us this time. So now we're in the platinum league, division 1 at 9-1. Not bad. Hey look, it's kOre! ZZ team hmmm, wonder what they're going to do. Good thing I walled in. Shit. All right, now we're in business. Still a bunch of lings in my base, but hey, I'm alive. 560 minerals, going lair, and supply stuck at 26? Hey we might not lose! All of kOre's drones go down, and we mop up. GG! Next game, it's Huskythehusky. Mazar and I met Husky at Blizzcon last year so we say hi and get to the action. Protoss using the chrono charge on a barracks with a reactor, that's neat. I get a fast orbital command for MULEs, whereas Husky's partner sticks with the base cc for most of the game. Husky fast expands, but his partner has an assload of units compared to me. I really suck. We knock on their door and pick off a few units and buildings (one pylon powering his gateways, oops) before having to run away. Huge battle! 67 and 59 supply against 79 and 70. Siege mode finishes a few seconds later, but it wasn't even necessary. I finish the battle with more supply than I started with, and that's game. I really have no idea what happened there besides the fact that roaches with marine/marauder behind them are really good. We queue back up, and our next opponent is HotBid, who was near the top of our division. We curse our luck and get to building. HotBid gets his roaches pincered between our armies while his partner retreats. Big misscommunication by them sets up our attack. Not an exciting game unfortunately. Just rolled into HotBid's base and wiped him out. +48 points or so for that win, whee!

ShadowDrgn United States2497 Posts February 19 2010 19:24 GMT #5 Oh yeah, another game I forgot to mention is when mazar disconnected 5 minutes into the match and I had to win 1v2. Never played zerg so I had no idea what to do with his base besides make zerglings, and I couldn't see his resource count and supply. It was pretty frustrating, but I'm sure it felt worse to the other team when they lost haha.

Husky United States3362 Posts February 20 2010 09:33 GMT #7 haha I remember that game with the roaches! We revolved our whole plan around scanning the burrowed roaches and killing them. But, we also learned that roaches can move while burrowed so they werent there anymore (lol). This was also the game we learned that roaches > just about anything. Either way, GG!
