I know the feeling. It's been a while since I've felt that excited for something in a video game. Dunno if that's a good thing or not (by social standards) but I do enjoy moments like that in single player modes. Makes the game much more memorable for me.

I've never enjoyed the SC campaigns; they're so turtlish. Just mass defense and watch as the AI blunders into the killzone, creating a bad habit for multiplayer.

The most fun I ever had in single player was trying to beat the "survive for 30 minutes" mission in less than 30 minutes by killing all the zergs on the map. So while the missions allow for turtling, you can challenge yourself to make it more interesting/harder.

if you have that kind of mindset maybe, you can just mass tier one units in almost all of the missions and win anyways with just a moving.

I remember I had a horrible time with mission three; I put two whole bunkers with two SCVs at each entrance and kept getting rolled.

The first time I saw a goliath I thought it was two SCVs -_-

I started playing starcraft on the demo version, and Edmund Duke's siege tank was the coolest thing ever. I would play the last demo level over and over just to see it blow stuff up in siege mode.

You should try playing it with some restrictions then, like no medics or no tanks...
