Christmas Eve/Day

A large percentage of Americans (my country obviously) celebrate Christmas today (eve) and tomorrow (Christmas day). During this time, many things are closed. However, the movies tend to be open with very few Christians attending. I have no real interest in going to the movies but I was wondering what other types of places/activities tend to be open. My theory is that I could go do something that normally is crowded without any hassle since most customers are busy celebrating and opening presents.

Can anyone suggest any activities that would be available and less crowded? It's currently 1pm Christmas Eve day for me (EST) and I don't have anything planned for tonight so I could do something if there is a good suggestion. More importantly, what could I do tomorrow? I was thinking maybe the ski places would be open and less crowded than usual? If I got up at 6am or so I could get to some decent ski slopes by 8 or 9 am. It is supposed to rain late on Friday so I better keep an eye on the weather report!

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Could always rent a movie, and stay in.

I personally really haven't celebrated Christmas much at all the last few years. Always eat, maybe see a few more people than normal, but that's about it.

Tonight, hopefully Kingkosi will make his way over, and I'm connecting my PC to my TV and watching OSL. Pretty much the only thing I'm looking forward to, either today or tomorrow. :p

No seriously, is it really important for you to *do something*? Just relax at home (if that's even an option). Skiing sounds pretty badass. Basically you're limited to tourist places, Chinese restaurants, and convenience stores. Which sounds the best?

Santa Claus isn't a Christian therefore I don't have to be to celebrate Christmas!

I'm not too sure what to suggest but the skiing does sound good!

Well the thinking I have is that I can do that (relax at home) any time but it's rare that I can take advantage of this opportunity. However, the purpose of this blog is to size up this opportunity and decide if it's actually that big of a deal.

My dad and I are about to go to the Olive Garden (open 'til 8:00 in Las Vegas on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas day), and then we're going to see Avatar =D
