Anyone ever have any of these? Had one this morning wherein I dreamed that I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I was dreaming etc.
Eventually the chain stopped and reached a dream in which I was simply awake, and after some delay, this result was signaled to the previous dream, which then became awake as well, and my conscious focus shifted to that dream, and after some more delay the dream previous to that dream became a state of being awake, with my conscious focus being shifted to that dream, and so on until I eventually woke up. Curiously throughout this entire process I was kind of faintly half awake, as in I kind of knew I wasn't really asleep, yet was dreaming.
Maybe that's how computers feel when you initiate a bunch of recursion o.O

That sort of thing happens to me, except that it's paired with a specific nightmare... I dream that I keep waking up on the morning of the final exam of a class that I haven't attended all semester.

LOL wow a dream like that would suck so much >_>

From time to time. The ones that I hate the most is when I dream I wake up and get ready for school but then I'm not actually woken up and ready for school and so I get ready for school, then I dream I wake up and get ready for school but then I'm not actually woken up and ready for school and so I get ready for school, then I dream I wake up and get ready for school but then I'm not actually woken up and ready for school and so I get ready for school, then I dream I wake up and get ready for school but then I'm not actually woken up and ready for school and so I get ready for school, then I'm thirty minutes late for school. Fun times really.

That sounds crazy, my dreams are usually pretty boring and random =/ Edit: And linear

I got class in 30 minutes and I have to walk there and its 23F outside. I'm considering not going because I hate the professor and its just going to be a review day for the final. But if I don't go and he tells us something invaluable for the final I'll be really upset. Decisions decisions.

It's been ages since I've been looking at lucid dreaming, but iirc it's called a fg ardinalse awakening, if you can train yourself into the habit of doing a reality check whenever you wake up then you can use false awakenings as a way to go lucid.
Regarding the wake up and go to school dream, the worst variant of that I've had is wake up, go to work, get told I can go home for the day as I'm not needed, get home, wake up... Still have to go to work.

Ever dreamt you had to piss, so you go to the toilet, and start pissing and you fill the whole toilet bowl and it starts spilling over but you're still not done and you're like "holy shit what do i do"
let me know when you dream that.

Yeah I got a few of those... Eigher it's a nighmare where you wake into an other nighmare. I tell you those are the worst dreams ever, because you think the other nightmare is even more real.
If It's not a nightmare it can be pretty interesting. Like somebody else I got these dreams about exam, where I was suppose to have an exam the next day but woke in the dream somewhere far away. I was stressed because I knew the exam would start in few hours but there was no way I could make it in time. After a while I chilled out... but got awake for real soon afterwards.
I got a warm feeling because suddenly I had a lot of time and I was at the right spot. I was even too early to wake up for real so I've decided to sleep a bit more. But then I got a awake dream again at the same far away spot, thinking that the previous even was a dream after all. ...
This experience happend to me like 4 years ago, but I still remember it. Got me thinking that the human brain is an amazing structure. (I think that people who had serious drug trips would second that even more).

let me know when you dream that. I hate when that happens.. you go and find a toilet and you piss and piss but you still have to pee better than wetting the bed though.

Wow, I've never had any of these dreams, except for the "oh crap it's the final exam I don't recall anything". And recursive dreams? I might have had one where I dreamed I was dreaming, but no deeper than that.

Last night I had a dream that I was swimming in the atlantic ocean and saw a massive glacier with dolphins embedded all throughout it (and was like, oh its tuna storage). I swam home and tried to tell someone about my adventures before I realized it must have been a dream. I then decided to get into (dream) bed and dream about something else. So I was dreaming I had been dreaming and continued dreaming.

You are still in the Matrix.
