If your audience is mostly male, focusing on the competitive part and the incredible amount of skill involved would probably be a good idea. Back when I was 16 and trying to explain progaming to my dad, what really made him interested in the whole thing was when he saw how ridiculously fast progamers are with their fingers and realized that each press of a button means an ingame action. You could use a small excerpt out of a video like this

A lot of the stuff above me is VERY good. Salaries, trophy from OSL/MSL finals, etc. Maybe some celebrations.

~Show that it has individual components as well as a team league.

~I would definitely include some video of the starleague intros as well. I know there's a final edit on best starleague intros? Or was that a blog? Can't remember too well. But some of them look damn good.

Btw, if anyone wants to watch the powerpoint I made (I'm a PP newb, so I'm very welcome to suggestions!), here is the presentation I made.

It's pretty basic/short, which was the idea because my presentation is supposed to be only ~10 minutes long, and I'm using this is a visual aid. Obviously, there is a lot more info I could cram in there, but I wanted to give an extremely broad overview. Again, any suggestions/criticisms are welcome.

Whenever I said to someone I am playing Esport, I was asked, does it even improve your health physically like soccer, baseball or basketball? Or its just like chess?

I know it can be for other things like money, fun, victory, fame, but physical strenght is still something for people to starting playing sport. I also know, I dont have to play to enjoy watching it, but I believe large player base is important for a sport to get popular first and attract more people to watch it afterward

I'm going to go out on a branch here and say that your slides have WAY too much text on them. Presentations should be supplemented by a powerpoint, not dictated by them; as of right now, unless you have an entire speech planned out, I think you're going to be pretty much reading off the slides (big no no because it's boring). You can fix this by using making your slides seem more like outlines.

e.g.

There is a governing body (KeSPA, the Korean e-Sports Association) very similar to the NFL or MLB. They set rules & regulations, organize the leagues, supply referees, handle obtaining league sponsors, paying out prize money, etc.

Presence of a governing body
- Examples: KeSPA, MLG

So when that pops up during the presentation you can go on and say what your original slide had

Then again, it's only a suggestion. But from my experience, the less text on the slide, the more interesting the presentation is.

Actually, I agree with you... I did this in two parts, first half last night, second half tonight... and for some reason I was much wordier with the second half.

Yeah, sorry about that but since I didn't see any solid answers from before, I'm hoping to solicit new ones from other users.

I'm working on a PPT to pitch and needed some statistics to make the e-Sports market seem more viable (and to justify that it's up and coming - sort of). I've got prize distributions, but not much else...
