.. is that Seminophagia can reduce the risk of breast cancer by 40 percent.
The results of a research study by the North Carolina State University from 2003 show that women who perform fellatio (or “blowjob” in colloquial language) and swallow semen regularly, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent.
The results were unexpected by the doctors, who had never suspected to find a link between performing fellatio and breast cancer. The study, which spanned 10 years, involved 15,000 women “suspected” of having performed regular fellatio and swallowed the ejaculatory fluid. Researchers discovered that those actually having performed fellatio regularly had a lower occurrence of breast cancer than those who had not.
However, there is no increased risk of breast cancer for those who had not regularly performed fellatio.
“I think it removes the last shade of doubt that fellatio is actually a healthy act,” said Dr. A.J. Kramer of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. “I am surprised by these findings, but am also excited that the researchers may have discovered a relatively easy way to lower the occurrence of breast cancer in women.”
Anyway if these sources I found are reliable, then this is I dunno awesome news for us dudes?
So like.. sup hun? you wanna reduce the risk of cancer? it's time for our daily therapy, if you know what I mean...

As jubilant as I am that this appears to be the case, the fact that this study was in all likelihood at least partially government funded deeply troubles me.

Probably just some strange correlation if the experiment actually is valid...

LOL! I though that this will only adhere to some people but never knew that this is general forum material! I'll just double post this on the general section then make the title more "thread worthy"

One of the first things you learn in statistics is that correlation doesn't mean causation. This doesn't mean swallowing semen causes a decrease in breast cancer, it could be that those who swallow semen are likelier to have a certain diet or live in a certain manner which decreases breast cancer. Furthermore, you cannot just publish results like this and be like, 'Well, I guess that solves that!' For your results to be taken credible at all you would have to prove why these results occur and what about fellatio decreases breast cancer; that's of course if you wanted to make the direct statement that "X causes Y".
Not only that, but this study would have to be replicated and submitted to a peer-review journal before you could even begin to make claims. Sorry to rain on everyones parade lol. I'm bookmarking it regardless as a joke to show to others.

edit: and by true i mean the statistic is true, not the correlation.

the title sounds like its a topic for homosexuals. the title ought to read "girls, consume more semen!"

I have to say this, GG girls, its been a long run, but we have proof (kinda) that it is a good idea, Everybody is happy. Also another thing, can't guys get breast cancer too?

Nice way to put it, very subtle XD
'neways, there might be a related effective method to lower the risk of prostate cancer. More research needs to be done!

Milk farms of men to help combat breast cancer for everyone! We either have to make sure this never happens (by setting up a TL spy academy), or destory this information forever....

Wasn't there a bogus study about this exact same topic floating around on the internet a few years ago and it came out to be false?

please pan out please pan out please pan out please pan out
edit: STUPID SNOPES!
I did hear that an actual study confirmed that ingesting semen may make it easier to get pregnant though because the body becomes accustomed to the dna in the sperm and doesn't try to instagib it anymore.

As interesting as this is, they need to check their data for confounding variables. Why do I say this? Because semen is essentially a protein shake and there are a lot of women who do not eat enough meat.
Yes, yes, I know, most of you will probably tell me to shut up for raining on the proverbial parade, but good science has nothing to do with popularity. Science isn't a democracy.
Edit: Just saw that Snopes WTF!pwned this notion.

False + would be a correlation and not causation, Salv is right.

This whole protein being the miracle nutrient thing is so 1970. If you live in the US, you're getting enough protein. Seriously, the only people still suffering from protein deficiencies live in like Africa and Southeast Asia.
On another note, several studies even indicate that eating too much animal protein can actually lead to osteoporosis, since metabolizing proteins produces sulfuric acid which can lead to acidosis and the consequent inhibition of osteoblastic activity over time (specifically animal protein, since collagen and some other similar abundant animal proteins contain tons of cysteine residues (i.e. you get a lot more sulfur compared to vegetable protein).
I'm not trying to say eating meat is bad, just that you don't need (or want) a lot of it to get the protein you need.
