EPTThursday
My family and I woke up in our hotel at New Jersey at Newark, ate breakfast and took the subway to New York City. Went over to my family’s hotel (which was actually FIVE MINUTES AWAY FROM JACOVITZ CENTER) to drop off their stuff, then walked over to drop me off at the WCG hotel (Central Park Hotel). There on the side lobby there was a lady telling us to turn in our W-8 tax forms to give us our player passes. We didn’t have my social security number so we called our relatives back home to go check it for us in our hosue. So after all that we checked in our hotel room. I went into our room with my mom and brother and met Kelby (Inka) sleeping on one of the two beds. Apparently, he needed to put down a $100 deposit to get his room. So bad. After a bit we went down to meet the rest of the WCG players. Some of them came late, like Machine, Incontrol, and Artosis. Louder slept in his room due to a headache and Nyoken came late at night.
We went to Central Park down the street and walked around. There was a big rock we climbed and took a few group pictures (it’s in the WCG thread on like page 3). Also went on a carosuel (Lzgamer paid for my ticket <3) and uNcontroLable recorded it on a camcorder. After the park, we went over to eat. At first we went to TGI Friday (?) but then ran out when we saw the prices (lololol) and went to a deli place down the street. LzGamer also told the waiter (waitress?) that the food was overpriced lol
. I ate a hamburger and we went back to the hotel to someone (Idra’s?) room where we played poker (I was so clueless I allined like a skilless newbie, man they hustled me…). T_T; At night ‘round 9-10 PM LuckyFool, StorrZerg and Xeris got to the hotel. They had to pay $35 for the parking space and crashed in me/Inka’s room for the night (Xeris stayed with us the entire trip though). At night StorrZerg realized that he lost his wallet (omfg) and wanted internet to find the gas station in Delaware where it might have been (AND INTERNET COSTED ME $15 AJDASKLJDSALDJASKDJ Holiday Inn here where I’m at is free!).Friday
After waking up early at 9 AM, me, Inka and LuckyFool got down stopped down at a place called Fluffy’s for breakfast. When we got back StorrZerg and Xeris woke up. Some showering and packing, then we went downstairs to meet up with everyone and walked to the convention center about 20+ blocks away.
First thing we were greeted with when we arrived at the center was a line of nerds stretching to God knows where (I didn’t go all the way to the end but it seemed pretty long). Reportedly, we were supposed to check-in for the tournament by the front (a booth for WCG participants was by the escalator leading downstairs), but we didn’t need to check-in. What was ridiculosuly retarded was that they didn’t let us go down to warm-up ahead of time. They actually told us to get in the nerd line. Is that not stupid? We stood by the door and waited until it was time to go and had to go in after everyone else did except for Xeris who managed to walk straight down the escalator (probably looked like he worked there since he wore a suit, haha). Some guys got some breakfast at a shop inside. During this time there was a booth by the door we stood at, and some of us leaned on it. The lady told us to get off it, and when we moved to the sides she called security on us… (WCG…) It wasn’t until the anime nerds got in that we got inside.
After setting up and some warm-up games, we played most of our bracket group games. I played three where I went 2-0 against Lzgamer

9pool -> 2hatch all-in lings vs 1rax bunker -> cc -12 vs 9
I sent a second scouting SCV and a second after it died I saw the 3 zerglings suddenly have speed. At that point I knew the American Dinot was playing.
Game 2 on Tau or something I don't remember
2hatch all-in mutas vs 1rax FE. I just defended well and countered.

I defended well then tried a push which failed. Afterwards I tried splitting the map and died to carriers, haha… G5 approached me afterwards and told me he’d never played vs a Terran that tried splitting the map with him before… and Gretorp gave me shit for it T_T)
Game 2 on Tau – 5 vs 9
FD vs bulldog
Before this game I realized my phone was missing (hiding in my left pocket). I panicked and wondered if I could pause but chose to finish the game asap. My FD push killed several goons and then I retreated. I followed up with lots of vulture/drop harass from the back of the third base, etc. and got a solid lead with even bases. At this point I was really worried about my phone so I played overly aggressive playing with 1 machine shop and 9 facts. I just threw everything even though I could have turtle and won… sigh.

1rax FE vs 3hatch Muta – 12 vs 6
Pretty standard game. My timing push was killed, I tried denying a 4th base and was pretty successful but then ultralisks came and I couldn’t control his gas very well then got ran over. I should have massed tanks and split the map >w<
Game 2 on Python

Another standard game. About a minute after his muta harass I came out with a group to pressure. He saw it but somehow didn’t react to it (suppose he just thought I sent it back inside after his mutas engaged it). My group got to his natural with 2 unmorphed colonies and 3 unburrowed lurkers.

Somewhere between this I noticed a kid with a red shirt that looked at me funny (POKAYBUNNAYYY). Anyway after all this, we packed up and went outside. EG I believe had some interviews with their players and we stood around. Half of us went to a restaurant to eat, and the others went to an EG party. We walked back to the hotel (and Pokebunny went home) and the EG guys took a taxi back. We all chilled a bit and watched some Artosis vs G5 games with some cheesy stuff like triple manner pylons, etc. before going to sleep. At this point LuckyFool and StorrZerg left along with my toothbrush. God knows where it is now.
Saturday
We woke up late today due to a crappy alarm and had about an hour (I didn’t get to shower and smelled bad T_T), picked up some breakfast at Fluffy’s and walked down to the convention center again. At this point I was practically eliminated and fought for last place against Inka (though if I beat Inka and Lzgamer beat Machine (or something like that) I could have played a three-way tiebreaker). I was 1-2 and he was 0-3 or something.

After my loss to
When we got there the third floor was reserved for us and barred off saying “Reserved for private function.” I thought it was pretty funny how the guys on the second floor looked at us probably thinking “who are these random kids?” Anyway, food and drink were free and there were some old arcade games and air hockey. It was pretty fun. Gretorp left early to spend time with his parents and it was all good. We got home and hung around in Artosis’ room afterwards until it was pretty late. At this point half of them were pretty drunk and Louder downloaded Osu! on Artosis’ computer :D! I couldn’t play it very well though because his mosue was really slow… Anyway, a lot of talking and stuff. Machine and a friend wrestled on a bed and he just got owned. Jake’s friend was playing Starcraft vs 3 comps and we kind of sat around. When I left with Xeris I forgot my headphones, so I came back and me and Artosis arm wrestled where he had to cheat to win. (Cheating fucking newbie)
Will edit when I have pics/sunday up D: hope my memory doesn't deteriorate even more by tomorrow
