Hello fellow teamliquid.net goers,
What I need is a calendar program. Prerequisites:
- Displays days like a normal calendar all 30ish.
- better not be browser based I’m never going to notice it like that
- Has alarm where I can make me notify something at a given time and date.
- Has daily alarms i.e. I can put shit like its 10pm go to sleep for every day.
- It Is free
I’m a very organized person not because I like to be because I’m one lazy S.O.B. and I forget to do things so I need reminders thus I keep myself organized and not fall back on my work. Recently I thought about ditching a normal calendar (which I've been using scene I went to high-school) for something that I’ll notice as much but have more room to put info and times.
Yes, I know I could easily dl a few programs here and there but I don’t want to dl 10 programs I rather just check out 1 or 2 peer reviewed programs, as I hate installing shit just to uninstall it. Also threads like this can help others. "Just because you don't raise your hand doesn't mean you don't have a question"
Thank you for your time, ~Izzy

Why not browser based exactly? Hell, Google calendar will even text message you with reminders for things.
|
I don't do text messages or IM or shitty look at my 500 dollar phone which is just a really tiny net book that makes calls.
Also because it's internet based and I'm not.
|
Most cell phones have exactly what you're looking for.
|
I use my cell phone to make calls and not calls to talk to my bro for 2 hours for no reason. A phone is a means to a end calls should go like "Hey we are on for tonight?" "Yeah" "okay bye"
Plain and simple I'm not a phone person. Never will be. Hell I miss half my calls why would I use something I already ignore.
|
Edit: nvm, no idea why you are coping an attitude to people trying to help.
|
Because they aren't listening?
Is it helping to ask for a watermelon and given a cantaloupe and then being told "It's about the same" seriously I'm being pretty clear in my request.

Rainlendar is the obvious choice.

I use Microsoft Outlook and I have Windows sidebar gadgets for my calendar and another for tasks. Works pretty well.
Not free, but Windows Live Mail does the same thing and is.

Maybe if you read the dam OP you wouldn't get cursed at for making a stupid suggestion.
Let me google that for you read that dam op you dumb ass. I didn't go around and randomly go installing programs because i rather have one that people are known to already like.

You better chill out before you visit Disneyland. And you have to at least make an attempt searching for one before you start attacking random people who are trying to help you and give you different suggestions besides your narrow-minded focus.

Psh I'm already going to Disneyland mid august with my gf. All this thread proves is that majority of the TL users don't read OP and skim most other posts most likely only reading the post before them.

guess you should've titled it "non-browser calender program"
