I avoid ties like the plague these days but 20 years ago I would have probably learned both just for the hell of it. I am so lazy about ties these days that I do the knot once and never undo them completely until the next wearing; I get away with it because it will be twice a year or so. I wish they would wash too (still tied) but they don't come out right (tried).
I use several different knots depending on the tie and type of collar I'm using. Wide collar and/or long tie = thick knot like double windsor, narrow collar and/or short tie, use something like a four-in-hand.
Okay, so this is pretty cool. Apparently a lot of these knots are inspired by the second matrix movie (believe it or not) and the character "The Merovingian".
Here is a close up of the tie that inspired the Ediety (see OP):
Here is a video showing how to tie it:
Later in the same movie, The Merovingian is seen again with a crazy double knoted tie:
I can't find a video with a how to for this second one. Big ups to the person who can find one!

I tried all of them posted in this thread, I think the first one is the best, it's diffrent yet not so different so you can actually use it in formal-ish occations for extra kick. The matrix one is too crazy, so you'd only get to use it for fun.
The second one can be done with most small/medium sized knots just by looping the narrow end around the base of the knot once and pulling it through the resulting hole...~??
I use the Ediety always. The Eldredge looked brutal but I watched the vid and don't like how he muffles away the ends and how it isn't adjustable. Maybe with a longer tie some improvements can be made but meh.
