Unupgraded hydralisks in ZvT are pointless, and he didn't exactly have the resources to upgrade them.

Fair enough, I thought he just meant in general this game, as hydralisks aren't as cost-effective as cracklings against the Terran ball of doom.

In general means over the course of the game, not solely when the 3hp vessels are flying around unharmed. If he'd switched from lurkerling to hydralurk, he would have been shitraped because of his lack of upgrades.

300/300 for late game (i think) its not expensive to get both hydra upgrades. plague+hydra+lurker = gg sk terran. Given the current play of terrans, i dont think it would be such a waste to upgrade once or twice hydra/lurk attack, so lurks 2 hit kill rines instead of 3.

Yeah, when I said unupgraded I was referring to the zero attack; in hindsight, I guess it doesn't matter if the marines are plagued but you probably won't have all of his marines plagued all of the time.
