Project Revolution Brood War 2007 Tournament
Huge tournament being held at Project Revolution, invitation open, all levels welcomed. There referee will be Jorm[th] who has a good reputation for handling his business. The maps used will be Paranoid Android, Luna the Final, Rush Hour 2.0.
You actually need to get qualified to play if you are not known in their community, i.e. your skill level needs to be assessed, at channel PR BNET East, after you set up a meeting date with their organizer, Jorn[th].
Details http://www.sclegacy.com/showthread.php?t=2736 follow the link trail to join the fest ~
Teamliquid representing? All skill levels invited. If you join keep me updated on your results & experience.

Thought it may looked like an open tourny but we intended to keep it like a private tourny among pr members actually, goal is to make ppl in the community (mostly active forum members) having fun playing ppl at their skill level or maybe a bit higher. That was why we did not promote it on pro sites. The reward of this would be siggys in PR forums saying gold - silver - bronze medal... so only active forum members would find them interesting.
The general skill level of the current participants would still be a lot lower than you people here. It won't be fun for you guys as it wouldnt be as competitive as other tournies.
Naga_Warrior (PR Staff) is now working on the single-elimination brackets coding for the beginners group as the intermediate-pro group (this means that we mix intermediate and pro players) would be using the round-robin format (everyone plays each other, long tourny, so gonna be hard to get everyone to play if there're lots of ppl). If the coding and the tourny flow smoothly, in the future we may host a competitive tourny for real pros (not just a tourny mainly for forum members right now)
I have to talk with PR members to see what they think about changing the current tourny to a real pro-gaming tourny... but i believe we wouldnt do that for now.
*Map changed from Rush Hour 2.0 to Rush Hour III.

I have condensed your chat sir!

hehe
Honestly, it'd be an honor having top-player joining the tourny so the community could be exposed to real progaming. But we've prepared the round robin for those few ppl under the intermediate+pro group, I'll ask around if the community decides to change.

LOL... its not other you hear that! Or for that matter me, for different reasons.. well the news at PR had no restrictions. I checked around the channel but it was empty so I said, phuck it, can't hurt to give it some exposure. Jorm[th] maybe re-open? or when the tournament ends, make a winners v teamliquid! Don't matter really, tourney is news regardless, all I have to do is change a few words.

I think you're overestimating Teamliquid by a lot.^^
Sure, our top players are very good, but I doubt the average forum user would be much better than the ones on your site.

No offense but those guys are gonna feel so silly when SC2 is annouced.

haha, when is a funny word when talking about SC2. :p
...but on the PR subject, how well do you have to be "known", for you not to qualify.
