<b>Update News</b>
USA will not be sending a player for Starcraft, Warcraft 3, and DoA4.
The reason being is that every country was supposed to inform their players about this event, most were informed up to 3 months ago, USA was the only country that didn't do this.
Nilknarf from Warcraft 3 dropped out recently, and it was too late to get someone to replace him.
Master & King from DoA4 couldn't go, so they gave their spot to Dr Sexual, who was never informed about the event, so he got his plane ticket info from the person in Mexico, but never got any info from USA's side.
LastGosu & Day were too busy with other things, Artosis was never told about being able to take their spot and thought that LastGosu was going, as shown in an email he got. Slog4 tryed to get the spot last night, but it was too late.
So we'll have people competing in the other games, just not SC, WC3, and DoA4.
So if you're wanting to blame someone, that would be the USA organizer, not the Pan-American WCG side.
I don't know the person who supposed to get the information out, so there is a blank face to blame.
I also like how there was a lack of news about this event, it's like nobody from USA's side was trying to get this out to the public.

<b>Competition Structure</b>
The first round of each game title will be "Round Robin" and then the winners from first rounds will compete in a single elimination format.
WCG 2006 Grand Final rules will be applied. (I don't see how this will really work out, since there are barely any Starcraft players attending, this also makes more sense to why the prize money is only $15,000 for the whole event.)

<b>Crowne Plaza Hotel de Mexico</b>

As I did some research on this hotel, I've found out that they offer free wifi internet, complementary shuttle, and a computer in the room.
As far as some bad points, the hotel food isn't good, they have thin glass on the windows which makes noise come through pretty easily, and the internet is rumored to be terrible, which is hopefully fixed by the time the gamers get there.
I don't think the internet will be much of a problem, as long as the gamers and staff are just posting updates and news.
Overall, I hope this event will go as well as the European WCG event did, even though we're missing players from USA.
