This evening, two of TeamLiquid's very own strode forth to do battle. This was no mere friendly hour of BW, this was a high stakes, pressure packed, incentive ladden best of seven super extravaganza. This was the SuperFight without the chumps and flowers. This was the OSL Finals without the faggy hair. This was the ultimate Grudge Match.
The Players
In one corner stood FakeSteve, eater of lesbians and souls. Well known for his manly love of Dave Mustaine and cheap alcohol, Steve was confident in victory over his nemisis.
In the other corner was your hero, Manifesto7. Tired of the constant verbal abuse and taunting from FakeSteve, I had calmly suggested we play a friendly series of StarCraft:BroodWar as a way to pave over any animosity. However, Steve refused and accused me of attempting to curry favor with one of the games greats. Not satisfied to let it go, he goaded me into agreeing to crazy terms. Unbeknownst to him, he had released the beast within...
The Terms
With any pretense of a friendly match gone, the terms were set. The match was to be a best of 7, with the first map Lost Temple. After the first match, the loser could select any map they wished. FakeSteve would play protoss, and I would play terran. As for the stakes...
If FakeSteve was victorious, I agreed to send him a new, original, Japanese copy of the CD Jealousy, by X Japan.
If I won, things were simple. I got his post count.
