At first glance, I didn't like how the distances between the two bases were so long. Makes for boring gameplay. But the thirds are surprisingly far away. At the same time, they're expanding away from the opponent. I like that. Makes it more difficult to defend against harass and small cutesy aggression but big pushes are much easier to deal with, which gives it the best part of having short rush distances without the big disadvantages. I also like how the expansions are a bit more clustered around the edges of the map. Forces players to expand towards there. I think the gold expansion in the middle could be a bit more choked off. Considering its position in the centre of the map and as a neutral base, I think it could have just two small paths on either side, one for each player, and still be easily attackable. As it is now, it seems a bit too vulnerable. | ||
