There are a lot of european protoss players and most koreans who chose WCS EU also play protoss; their overrepresentation isn't that strange.

This seriously. America actually put up a really good fight at the last WCS finals. Half of the top 4 was from WCS America. Pretty sure overall the only players to even make Ro8 at WCS finals were Forgg and MVP in season 1.
