mousesports.com: Markus, how satisfied are you with the result? You've been victorious in the opening game, secured your first ranking points but the single matchup results aren't all too promising, going into the next match, with mouz MaNa carrying the team to victory.
mouz MaX: "Overall we can be very happy with the outcome of our opening game. Quantic is one of the teams that are on the same level as we are, so in order to qualify for the playoffs, we have to score points against these teams. We will have a lot of work left to do until next week, since Grzegorz can't fetch such a commanding performance every week. We have to share the load of pressure to more player's shoulders, since we can't afford to give away points all too easily. But I'm very positive to reach our goals in the upcoming weeks. The potential and motivation inside the team has reached it's hight right now.
mousesports.com: With a tired mouz HasuObs, due to his heavy-loaded schedule in March and mouz hOpe having joined the team just a couple of days ago, you've started with two players, who haven't been able to win their matches, resulting in a quick 0-2 deficit, which led to critics why you haven't fielded Chris "mouz Illusion" Lee for the opening?
mouz MaX: "We've had a long discussion on our starting players before the match and even in our debriefing yesterday, and we would've done the same once again. Dennis made a bad decision and lost the game because of it, that's going to happen on that high level of play, at which these players compete. Dennis has a great understanding of the game and he learned his lesson and won't do the same mistake twice and I'm sure he will score some very important points for the team in the near future. Dan did a decent job, don't forget that was his first ever appearance for mousesports and he will pick up the pace soon. We will continue to use our full roster, not just a few core players, as we haven't signed two young and talented players in the likes of Chris and Dan without a reason. Those important games on a very high level are extremely important for a team and especially for younger players in order to develop and gain experience."
mousesports.com: How was the team's mood during the game?
mouz MaX: "The team spirit was perfect. We've all met early noon in Skype to prepare for our game in the evening. For example Chris got up at 6am local time just to get ready for the match and connect with his teammates. During the match we've watched the livestream while discussing the games with the team. Only if we prepare ourselves well for every matchup, we can try to get the best result possible and reach our goals as a team."
mousesports.com: After a great kick-off, you're going to face Axiom next week. Any thoughts on them yet?
mouz MaX: "I expect the second gameday versus Axiom to be even tougher than our opening game. Axiom is attending the GSTL in Korea and is for sure one of the big favorites in the TeamStory Cup. Their roster is pretty balanced and therefore they're very difficult to predict. Our preparations for next week will kick in and we're of course looking for our second victory. Cross your fingers!!"
