EPTTeam EG is thrilled to announce the additions of Han “aLive” Lee Seok and Kim “Oz” Hak Soo to its StarCraft II roster.:

A few weeks ago, you guys heard from us at Evil Geniuses on a more somber note, as we parted ways with Ho Joon “PuMa” Lee, who for a very long time was one of our StarCraft roster’s strongest players. More information about his release.
It was a difficult decision, but ultimately one that was rooted in improving our performance in Proleague, and giving our new Head Coach, Yong Woon Park, the best possible roster of players to work with. At the time of PuMa’s release, we mentioned that you’d be hearing from us again soon regarding some player additions we’d be making to help round out our roster – today, we’re able to provide more information on those additions.
Lee Seok “aLive” Han and Hak Su “Oz” Kim are names that anyone who’s been following professional StarCraft 2 for the past several years will already be well-acquainted with. During their respective careers, each of which includes a tenure with Fnatic (their most recent team prior to Evil Geniuses), they have amassed impressive resumes in both Korean and International events. On Korean soil, both players have reached the Semi-Finals of the GSL Code S (in aLive’s case, multiple times), with Oz also reaching the Quarter-Finals of the 2012 StarCraft 2 OSL, and achieving second place in the 2012 MLG vs. Proleague Invitational. Outside of Korea, aLive and Oz have performed just as well, with Oz having achieved Top 4 placements at multiple MLG Arena events in 2012, and aLive having taken home the championship trophy at IPL4. In additional to their individual accomplishments, both players have proven to be key components in prior teamleague lineups, with each of them participating in numerous GSTL matches last year. We’re excited to welcome them to our team, and we think they’ll really help solidify our team’s roster. They’ll be living in our team house and training under Coach Park effective immediately.
Now, there’s one thing we want to make clear, here. While both aLive and Oz will certainly be making appearances for us in individual tournaments (both on Korean soil, and Internationally), we have made these roster additions first and foremost with our Proleague lineup in mind. I have been clear in our last few announcements related to Proleague that, despite the fact that we didn’t do very well in Round 3, we still think that we can turn things around and make the playoffs. Coach Park, Victor (Liquid’s CEO), and myself all very much believe that this is possible, and we’re putting all of the time, energy, and resources we have available into achieving this goal. Hopefully, today’s roster additions will demonstrate just that.
