This is the Live Report Thread for IPL 6 European Wings of Liberty Satellite. We will be broadcasting the semi-finals and finals for each qualifier. The winner of this qualifier will receive a spot in the Wings of Liberty main bracket at IPL 6!

IPL really should take a look in the mirror after this qualifier. Is this the turnout they were hoping for? Is this the quality of players they were hoping for? What went wrong?
Clearly there is either
a) a lack of information about the qualifier happening
b) a lack of interest in the tournament
In either case, I think IPL should do everything that they can to rectify the situation. By not having the best and most popular European players participate, IPL will be losing out on a lot of viewers and a lot of interest.

It was the same problem for IPL 5. The main event was awesome but the qualification stages were really really bad highlighted. A lot of players didn't know about the qualifiers or couldn't try because of the dates which were the same as important tournaments.
Overall IPL is making a great job for esports, their tournaments, either IPL or IPTL, Fight Club, etc are great but they have a well defined weak point that they have to fix. When it'll be done, they'll be on the top.

Keep in mind that the winner receives a spot in the event, but no travel.
This could very well be a big factor, especially since this specific qualifier is for EU. And not every team can afford sending players across the pond.
