I'm looking at getting a small pocket knife, or just a folder of some sort. Why do I want one? Well, first, I like knives, lighters, guns, weapons, etc., and so far I only have a couple boxcutters from work, a Zippo that I bought, and I bought a nice 6-inch fixed knife yesterday. I'm buying a folder for two reasons: 1.) Collecting, and 2.) self-defense. I almost got mugged one night walking to my car on campus, and well, if I'm gonna get mugged, the fucker is gonna bleed. Yeah, I have that mentality of where I refuse to go down without taking someone else down with me.

Anyone got any ideas? I know very little about knives.

Edit: I was joking. Retards. pulling knife on mugger = dead rpf...

have you looked into a leatherman at all, I keep one in my car and it has come in useful a few times (no not for stabing people) but it certainly is something more reasonable to carry around than a full blown knife especialy at college as you can get expelled/put on probation for that type of thing.

My friend has a bunch of knives, but they are just for display. Looks like they're from some MMO or something, and he keeps them on top of his dresser above his bed. Would suck if there was an earthquake at night.

I got a few knives, they look like this:
I love 'em butter knives, seriously folks, where would the human race be without the butter knife, I mean, how would we ever be able to spread our butter? With a kitchen knife? Don't be ridiculous.

Here's your typical kitchen knife, good for cutting carrots, peppers, potato, pretty much any vegetable/fruit you can think of, this knife has given me a well made breakfast countless times, ty Mr.Kitchen Knife.

Here's what I call a good ol' carving knife, its brought me joy on the days when heck, I jus' feel like carving. It may also be used for slashing, cutting, stabbing, throwing, ripping ect..

And this my friends, is a typical hunting knive. Used for hunting any species one wants to hunt. Frogs, butterflies, slugs and reptiles included.

Of course, I can't forget the infamous camping knife, or, the Swiss Army knife. Is there a better tool? Seriously, if someone can find me a tool that can cut, saw, cut with scissor, pick nail , open beer, open wine, open locks, screw stuff, unscrew stuff, take the nasty splinter imbeded a inch into my flesh out, and probably a whole bunch of other shit, then punch me in the face for I deserve it thinking that the camping tool is cool in anyway. Whoever invented the camping knife should be the fricken president of world.

And of course, there's the stabbing knife. Some say that any of the above knives could be used for stabbing. I say shut up u face.
