We've arrived at playoffs after seven weeks of grueling play. With an unmarred 16-0 record team Infinity Seven easily takes the #1 seed coming into playoffs, and on the other hand we have teams who just barely missed playoffs such as mYi, Area 51, iP, and Clash (now B2B). Now it is time for the top eight teams to battle it out for a chance at the prize money and the title of ESEA champions. Let's take a look at the teams.
Infinity Seven
Infinity Seven is heading into playoffs looking unstoppable. They did not drop a single set and I believe they will continue playing strong in playoffs. Three of their players had major results in the recent MLG Spring Championship, including Insur's third place finish in WCS USA, Axslav's MLG run to Championship Bracket, and Crazymoving's run to Loser's Round 7 (just one short of Championship Bracket). In addition, players such as sanddbox and Pyre also got some notable wins as well. Infinity Seven has played well all season and will be a tough team for anyone to beat. Their first match will be against vVv Gaming, who recently lost to Infinity Seven.
Record against playoff teams: 4-0
Results against playoff teams:
Infinity Seven 3 - 2 Monomaniac eSports
Infinity Seven 3 - 1 LighT eSports
Infinity Seven 4 - 0 It's Gosu eSports
Infinity Seven 3 - 1 vVv Gaming
CheckSix Gaming
CheckSix has also been looking very strong heading into playoffs, and has a 15-1 record to boast, with their only loss going to the previous season champions, It's Gosu. MLG weekend also went well for CheckSix, with championship bracket appearances by Sleep and Suppy and solid runs by Perfect, Mystik, and Ver to boot. CheckSix's first match will be against the #7 seed read more . . .
