Hello everybody!
After almost 2 months of action the sc2ro Romanian League is aproaching to an end.
This weekend, 30 and 31 July we are going to have the final bracket!
Broadcast will be done in English, Romanian and Russian.

This is the first season of the sc2ro League. The reason why we call it "Romanian League" is because on the first season we only had romanians.
Starting from Season 2, we will make the league international, but with focus in eastern europe.
We will add qualifiers for Ukraine, Russia, Blakans, etc.
What is importanr right now, besides the TOP8 prizes, is the fact that each of the TOP8 players will recieve an invite for Season 2.
Also, season 2 will be integrally casted in English by me and ... a co-caster.

Broadcast will start Saturday & Sunday @ 14:00 CET !!!
English stream will be provided by me with drooL as a co-caster. I am the official streamer, admin, etc so all the "cool" graphics, player info will be on this stream.
The Romanian stream will be provided by PainBall.
Russian stream will be provided by NAVi Stream.

We use the double bracket system. That means when the player will lose in the winners bracket, he will get down to the losers bracket.

In the end... I know some of you do not care about this. The only 2 big names are  DeathAngel and  NightEnD.
My personal request about this is ... to be open minded when it comes to Starcraft 2. You will be amazed of the players you see here. So even we don't have koreans or other popular players the show will be guaranteed. Also we will be done in time for MLG so you have nothing to lose if you tune in!

Awesome event! Great that you were able to put this together for the Romanian scene, good job! I hope you gain more sponsors and stuff for further seasons.
What about this company Neurosoft or whatever that sponsored the players RaNgeD to go to Romania, surely they want to help sponsor and support the Romanian scene!

Neurosoft boss already helped me several times sponsoring me with an US account and an Xsplit License.
Normally RaNgeD was suposed to play in the league but he went back to US in vacantion so he didn't registered.

hoooo yeah, sc2ro here i come :D really looking forward to be part of the conclusion of this event. make sure to tune in for amazing games. PET is absolutely right when it comes to underdog-players - there is more talent out there than you think. have an open mind and join us for this event, it's going to be a great warm up for MLG

yes. WE are also going to add hungary, maybe poland, czech, etc. More of this unfortunate countries :D

Season 1 Final Words
So it has finally ended. After almost 2 months of at least 4 casts per week. We have our winner. Hopefully by now you know who it is so you will not be spoiler. Even if you are you should watch the VODs.

In case you want to see the league progress you can check the info from the left menu. You can download every replay from the league and also, you can see the every VODs... free of charge.
The TOP looks like this:

Besides the prizes they will also receive an invitation to the next season, which I think it's more important. In order to play in Season 2, you will have to qualify for it. This way we will get the best players and hopefully, the most serious players.
Talking about seriousness, I'm kind of disapointed in some players. It was important for me to put up a good show. Not only for the viewers, but since I'm not getting paid for this my satisfaction came from the show. Several times I saw some "don't giving a fuck about the league" attidude.
However this made me realise something. You can't do something like this in Romania with a pool so small with actuall interested players. There arn't to many players who will refuse to "go out and drink" because they have to play in the league. I mean, 2 times I only had 1 game to cast... and even once, at hour 15 when I start the broadcast ... I had NO GAME to cast because 2 players withdrawed, 1 was sleeping and one didn't bothered to play.
Hopefully in season 2, things will be much better. More on that below.
Another thing I didn't like was the activity of the viewers on the forums. I know a lot of you don't care about it but for example, take the "Best Match Award" topic. No one suggested anything. It's hard for me to do all the stuff alone so help on that area would have been very apreciated. I would have like to see people discussing about the players on the forum, about groups, about matches... nothing.

Almost There award goes to Anthodeus.
Even that he oly won his last game in the groups, he managed to take at least 1 game from every player (except DeathAngel). Because of this he aaaalllmost qualified for the play offs.
Epure, nOave & Antodeus will recieve a "BitDefender Internet Security 2011 license for 1 year".
In the end, I would like to thank all the players (except Decemvre) for participating in the league. I would like to thank Pocinog, PainBall, drooL. I would like to thank Marius from ROHOST .
