There are now over 300 people signed up for this tour. I invite anyone who hasn't already signed up to do so! (must be NA)
Cheers, Fletcher

It might be helpful to mention the $20 entry fee? Just once? Like, before you register?
|
I registered just fine on z33k without having to pay a registration fee, you sure there is one for this one?

I tried on their website and it asked for the fee. Unless I'm registering for the wrong tournament somehow?

Hey guys sorry about not being clear.
There is no entry fee for this tournament. It is sponsored by the NeSE, but registration for this event is separate from any other NeSE event.
imareaver3: you can register for free here.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Best, Fletcher

You're registering to the wrong tournament.

Here's my experience with this tournament:
I was e-mailed by Dubstep, a z33k tv admin requesting in a general e-mail to the z33k casters to see who was available to cast this tournament.
I replied from my phone at work and agreed to do it. Dubstep shortly thereafter requested that I use a co-caster (IINcheezhead). I readily agreed, swapped contact info with cheez, and set aside my saturday to cast.
Upon returning from the gym and showering up I found out from cheez on skype at 3:55 (tourney to start at 4) that I was not casting, and that Axeltoss was casting with cheez.
I would be allowed to cast at 6:45 CST (3+ hours later than I was confirmed to be on/cast).
At no point was I contacted by: any z33k staff, any staff from NE SE, or anyone other than cheez, who was as bewildered as I was.
Very professional to say the least.

I couldn't log in either, it's now 30 minutes after. So.. yeah.
|
Also to be fair, the higher ups at z33k have been very professional about the situation, but the lack of any type of concern by the NE SE organizers for the scheduling done by Dubstep is laughable.
Have some common decency and professionalism and notify people with at least some kind of advanced timeframe if you're going to be drastically altering the agreement(s) made.

Has the tournament started yet? It says 3 or so, but I've got my player diddling his thumbs waiting for his (first?) match .__.
