In a headphone request thread I quote NovatheFeared.

That got me thinking. Why are things the TeamLiquid of other things? What makes something the TeamLiquid of something? It's a very prestigious honor, no doubt. I mean head-fi knows its stuff. I'd assume TeamLiquid would then too?
Can it only apply to forums? Would Coke be the TeamLiquid of soft drinks? While Faygo is the GosuGamers of soft drinks?
Is PokerStars the TeamLiquid of Poker? Or is LiquidPoker?
Just had me thinking. Please post examples or discuss to avoid me looking like an idiot.
Actually, to support me looking like an idiot, here's a picture of Arthur and the Crew. Feel free to use them in your discussion if that's what helps you. Brain is the TeamLiquid of Arthur characters. Binky is the GosuGamers.
sherdog.com is the teamliquid of MMA when it comes to articles, news and such. However their forum is complete shit and thus I can't think of a site that matches tl
bullshido is the teamliquid of martial arts. they have like an army of chills. They also have a verry active community with frequent meetups. They have a rich history of trolls. Legendary threads and such. And semi-pro and pro fighters actively contribute to the forum. There have actually been a few forum members who were on THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER. If you are a theory crafter, prepare to get every single belief you have about martial arts, and yourself, destroyed.
There are other sites that parallel TL's expertise in SC with their own subjects, but IMO all of the forums I've visited have communities far inferior to that of Teamliquid's.
Arenajunkies is the TL of WoW Arena. Or maybe elitistjerks is the TL of WoW Raiding. At least they were the most important forums back in the day, when I played WoW.
The problem with naming "___ is the Teamliquid of ____" is the trap that noobs will point you the wrong direction like "SCLegacy is the Teamliquid of Starcraft!!"
