I played a friend of mine yesterday, I'm terr, he is toss. We played a lot of games (10+) and I won every game on every map except Nostalgia. I like Nostalgia, it's a nice map, but why the hell can't I win vs a decent toss on it? Plz good TvP nostalgia replays are welcome and/or advice!!!

you need to be really, really good at pushing.

and it's incredibly difficult.

I have to this day as far as I can remember never lost pvt nostalgia, and tvp there I've lost like 10 games maybe, and I've played more pvt. =(

so basically, it's really hard. but an extremely good push can be successful. cross positions makes it somewhat undoable though.

nothing you do will matter if you cant prevent expansions.

you need to vult harass like a bastard while massing hardcore.

if they start grabbing expos its time to get desperate, this is when you should push, tornado style, while expoing once or twice more. you should have some mines down already because of your vult harass.

if you time your push really well and macro well you can win with that alone. you might want to slow push a little to get past your bridge, but besides that, i wouldnt worry as much about pushing as i would about preventing expos.

another thing is drops, get 2 ships full of tanks to aid your vult harass, 12 vults +4 tanks takes out almost any expo, they cant hold the choke.

the key to good terran is good harass

I must concur...I actually won a lot of Nostalgia TvP games if the positions were 11-2 or 8-5 simply by going a typical push. It's similar to other maps and quite close for a push to be succesful. Postions like 11-8 or 2-5 are still doable but more difficult. I find cross positions undoable as drone pointed out. The only way I defeated decent toss on cross postions is cheese (hidden proxy fact). Are there any vods of nostalgia TvP games?

try to take the middle with the gosu terran.. if u build there depots and turrets wise and you have good vulture and tank control you simpley must avoid the toss to expand and expand yourself.. But thats all pretty easy to say.. and hard to play..

anc-audax- (which is either ddang or yooi, dunno for sure) vs leg in anc vs pos clanwar is probably one of the best tvp nostalgia games with terran winning you can get

Some 3 fact opening might work on nostalgia. Just mass macro out of 1 base, try to kill him. If it doesn't work, you're kinda fucked, unless you did damage to him.

casper is 100% right..
you just need to do something amazing with vultures because you won't have the gas for dropships
you'll probably want to 2 fact vult expand then pray to god he loses something to mines, because if he plays perfectly safe you basically have no chance
