He has not played it and he developed mechanics that worked in wc3 and that work in sc2. People should learn from him how to win and quit the stupid apm discussions. It's just an interesting thing to note. He's obviously very capable as a player, so if anything it shows that sc2 is not a game of mechanics but one of strategics (and bo wins).

In your PvT matchups you tend to lean towards factory with siege tanks, marines and a sprinkle of banshee. My question, however, is you often attack with your siege tanks unsieged and also seem reluctant to siege your tanks in general in this matchup. Can you explain why you tend to favor unsieged tanks versus sieged tanks during the battles?

My question, however, is you often attack with your siege tanks unsieged and also seem reluctant to siege your tanks in general in this matchup. Can you explain why you tend to favor unsieged tanks versus sieged tanks during the battles? unsieged tanks have a higher and more steady dps than sieged tanks. the range advantage of sieged tanks only plays a role if they are already sieged before the engagement begins. against the beefy zealots, sieged tanks tend to do more dam to ur own bioball than to their units unless u micro them perfectly, but u also gotta kite his zealots with ur bio ball, so its kinda hard to micro both at once. and as a last factor: stalkers have a very large size, so the tank´s splash isnt nearly as effective against them as it is against the dense marine or ling/bling blobs in tvt/tvz. but maybe some better player than me (sjow himself for example) can give a more precise reasoning. ![]()

I was aware their DPS versus Armored is superior in unsieged mode and I guess maybe after the nerf their unsieged DPS versus non-armored is also superior. I don't have the numbers off hand. I didn't even think of friendly fire since he'll obviously have Zealots up in your grill. You're probably accurate in your analysis, thanks. against both armored and unarmored targets, the dps of unsieged tanks is 50% higher than that in siege mode.
